Hello,
I'd like to know if it's possible to backup the overview & window settings files from the windows, because sometimes the game crashes "for several different reasons" & I lose all the overview settings that I've been working to make them for long time.
Can you please tell me where they're stored & if it's possible back them up?
Thank you

Thank you.. But I looked at the patch notes.. and that's only what I could find:
Quote: The cache and settings folders are now stored separately for every installation. These folders are now within a folder named after the installation path of the client installation they belong to and the server it is using (for example: a default EVE Online installation for Tranquility with the path "C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE" has a folder which is named "c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility").
I would like to know exactly which folder & which file stores my settings so I can copy it and back it up. The "c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility" file seems to be like a catch file. Does it store all the settings in it? I mean if I save it somewhere else, and paste it back later, it'll get me the settings back?
Can you help me please?

Find your "settings" directory. I'm running Vista. Mine is Users\<username>\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility\settings.
There are two files for each character that you need to save. They have a naming standard as follows:
1) user_0000000.dat (where the zeros are replaced by any numbers) 2) char_999999999.dat (where the nines are replaced by any numbers)
You need to save both of these files. You can then restore them later or even copy them to a new client on a different machine.
If you have more than one character on a client, then log in that character, quit the client, and check the timestamps to identify which files are associated with which character. The number sequences in the file names are constant.
I hope this helps. I save and move mine periodically. I am particularly fond of the way this saves my window positions.
Cheers.
