What forum do these threads go in nowadays?
Or at the very least, please give us an option to allow alt to be used as the keybinding (since it can't be bound atm, being a modifier and all).

I think the logic behind the change was so that pressing alt for other hotkeys didn't cause unnecessary lag from loading a whole bunch of new brackets. Why the amount of loading necessary has changed in the patch is a mystery to me. While I like alt as the hotkey a whole bunch more than the new setup, I think this is more due the new combination functioning differently than "hold butan, see bracket."

Useless and frustrating change to a pefectly fine feature that didn't need touching!
BTW, Alt + Z toggles nothing for me. Tried rebinding it, and nothing still.

this is probably my only difficulty with the new patch. i used it ALL THE TIME when running missions.
i guess we will have to adapt. the "default" overview tab always has all brackets visible.

This was indeed a very usefull feature, fast and reliable for scanning and quick decision tailing someone.

Make alt key back to before the patch ... and make it so moons dont show up as default when hovering over planets ... that is really feking annoying when trying to warp to a planet behind a planet cause 500 moons go up the screen.

Not being able to make the moon icons appear is my biggest frustration with the patch. For anyone who used the directional scanner regularly in 0.0/PVP, not being able to make the moon sprites appear is a massive furstration and makes scanning painful.

Put the Ability to see all objects in space Back under the alt key.
This Is and Was a vital way to scout and scanner use. without it its pretty much impossible to scan down hostiles in cluttered locations.

Rediculous change, and should be remedied as soon as possible. An invaluable tool for situational awareness.
Interesting they took stations out of the scanner last time, now this.. whats next, scanner removed? Only planets show up? Only your own ship shows up?

and moons... we want them back too.
while you're at it bring back the directional scanner's map.
it's one of the few areas of the game that requires human skill and quick hands & thinking - quit taking the tools we use for this away for no reason at all.

i love the fact its a pretty well know fact that eve keyboard binding is just about non-existant, and ccp remove the only keyboard bind people use outside of the F keys. :p
