I have the exact same problem on my home machine which is running vista. My office machine (XP) patched w/o any problems. I've gone so far as to purge my settings/cache, uninstall and reinstall the client.

Where can I find decent API documentation since http://wiki.eve-dev.net/ seems to be permanently dead? CCP's own info is rather lacking especially with everything POS related. Ideally, someone has a mirror up for eve-dev.net.
