wish there was an option to dim it down a bit because other can blocking alot of sight it really hurts the eyes somethimes.

While this problem is common among EVE players (I'm for the removal of the sun entirely), there would be several environmental hazards involved with such an attempt, nevermind the engineering challenges. ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.2 |

Borrow some sunglasses from those Minmatar avatars.
Personally I like the star effects, it makes each system unique and if you can run the premium graphics, then the reflections off ships are nifty. Have you ever orbited the sun? The rolling plasma off the star is very authentic looking. I'm a sucker for shiny things.
But I conceed that on slower systems an graphical option to dim the sun graphic may be useful.

Its not so much that the suns are bright, yes they are bright, but the blue-ish ones are not so bad.
Its the red ones that burn a hole into your cornea.

I usually point my camera against a black background, it's just too bright otherwise, and so much light space doesn't make sense imo.

I'm struggling not to make a joke, and the only thing holding me back is that people who beat me to this thread have already played it out. The stars man, not the sun. "Sun" does not refer to just any star.

Edited by: Zarda Sulan on 14/03/2008 12:25:01 Well we can be lucky its only 1 sun- in real life stars systems are mostly binary or triple star systems- those are the more common - our solar system with just 1 star is the odd ball - so therefore the entire eve universe is a odd ball place as all the systems have only 1 sun :)
