I am currently in a Typhoon, but Its painfully obvious that I need a lot more SP to make. I am considering switching to another race's ships and just getting a Hurricane to last me until I get the other skills trained to fly new ships.
How does the Hurricane do on level 3-4 missions?

It doesn't do level 4 missions at all.
It does level 3s relatively well, very well well with high gunnery skills. Start out a bit tanky and fit for more damage and range as you get comfortable with it. I find 720mm arties, 3 gyros, 3 tracking enhancers and a shield tank to be the fastest way to get through a level 3.

I am not really sure what I want to do. I know nothing of BC's, would it be better to just stick it out with my Typhoon rather than go into the BC's?
If so, should I just stick with the Typhoon until I can get another BS? I only have about 4.5 mill SP, there is just way to much stuff I need to get to make the Phoon shine. But I could train my way into another races BS in no time.

To be honest, as long as you keep the phoon moving you should be able to do any mission with best named/t1 modules. I did, you can too. :) Just takes longer. Waht is the setup you are using on the phoon? I reccomend the 'phoon to alot of lower sp minnie pilots that want to get into a bs. Perma tanking it with cruise missiles and large autocannons can be painfuly long missions, but you will not pop.
