Digi, the music for both vids isn't from The Two Towers. Its Lux Aeterna, which was composed by Clint Mansell for Requiem for a Dream. You may be confused becuase a variation of this was used for the trailers for TTT.
If anyone is looking for more movie scores to recycle for EVE, I'd recommend checking out both Crimson Tide and The Hunt for Red October. Music for submarine movies seems to feel right for big Battleship slugfests. Some other suggestions would be sections of TTT, RotK and Braveheart.

Vid finally downlaoded, that was some sweet action..and not LotR soundtrack, think it was reqium for a dream or something, they don't stop playing that tune during that whole movie.
That was some serious C4 pwnage, I was starting to think they were as 733T as their name suggested, but I guess not.

Heh sorry, forgot to mention the codec is Windows Media Player 9. The song is a remix of a song by Requiem for a Dream. Glad you guys like it =)
btw Digital, great vid, I can't believe she logged off =P then again not much you can do in a situation like that ;)

heh, heard that song on the hobbit trailer and for LOTR so i assumed it was that, guess not
anyways, my movie is just some of the fraps i do internally for my corpmates.. it just outlines some of the more important kills. we've been at war with mirial for most of retail now, and she's yet to surrender even though we've hunted her in over 20 regions, camped her for over 100 hours, and cost her over 600mil isk personally
crazy wench just wont surrender .... _____________________________________ Perpetually driven, your end is our beginning. "Can I be a consultant for EVE II?" - WhiteDwarf |

this movie is one of the better ones out there. I have a 2.3 gigabyte collection now and I think its fair to say that this one belongs in the top 10 without a doubt. Awesome visual effects with perfect audio support.
Splendid editing and not a minute to long or to short. actually i'd love to have seen this movie be 10 minutes longer:)
terrific job xelios
This one has to be added to the community site.

I have to say, my expectations prior to watching it were low, because I have been disappointed by quite alot of videos before. Suprisingly, it kept my interest throughout, it wasn't just another mindless ego-boosting blob war, it was carefully thought out, and the aim seemed to be to entertain.
So, starting with the good points
1) It really kept with the 'world of eve' theme, the impression of scale it gave was impressive.
2) Inventive use of the game mechanics, by that, I mean, because you can't have absolutely any angle you want, using a shot of a ship orbitting a station under attack just to get a good look at the action (right in the thick of it, its always alot more immresive than being on one side), I don't know if you orbitted the station just for that shot, but it looked cool. And, btw, i'm not sure that it was orbitting .
3) Using the various locales well, flying through the ring was obvious, but, flying low over that station in the asteroidy stuff, that was neat.
4) The music wasn't too shabby, I wouldn't mind seeing someone mix their own stuff for once though, because a whole piece always feels out of place for some scenes.
5) I had some idea of what was actually going on, good shots of fleet battles, torpedos help explain things really well :)
bad points
1) The Kubrick refference seemed a bit out of place, maybe I didn't 'get' it, the shot immediately after it did connect with me a little, but not fully, I can't put it into words, but, it hasn't clicked why you did it.
2) Lighting, and resolution, when recording I think things that are meant to be shown up close, should be shown twice as close than you, as a player, would want it. It can get quite gloomy, strangely the suns in eve simply don't light things up as much as they should and at times it doesn't register which ship is which, a little editing to brighten things up wouldn't have hurt.
3)Whilst this isn't a tactical video confusion did occur, but by confusion I simply mean scenes changing too quickly, no real fade-in fade-out, or anything to prepare you for the next scene, the period that you have to gather your senses at the start of a scene, for me, means that footage on the scene is wasted. Strangely, sometimes enough time is given, sometimes no time at all.
4) The only scene (apart from the kubrick one) which I didn't think was neccesary was right at the start, with alliance ships not doing anything, maybe such a scene was needed, but I think it was shot wrong, I know that you couldn't do much because they weren't doing much... still :)
And, thats about it, as you can see, i can't really find much at all to complain about. My enthusiasm for eve videos has been rejuvenated. Thank you .

Thanks for the great comments haggis, good and bad alike. I did notice a couple of the lacking things you mentioned as I was editing, especially about not being close enough to the action in the shots that I actually wanted to be close ups, and I'll endevor to improve that in my next vid.
Shiwan, not sure what that could mean, try downloading it to your harddrive and watching it from there if you haven't done so.
And thanks for the replies everyone =)
