Caldari boost should come in the form of missiles and the ability to LOAD missiles onto your ship.
Missiles:
FOF : Fix the FOF missiles. Currently they are useless as they will home in on friendlies as well if they are flagged as hostile due to them firing on your same target. They are useless because if someone is in a hostile corp (0.0 space) you cant fire them until they shoot you first. Also no T2 variant.
Defenders: Also need a massive fix. Also no T2 variants.
T2 missiles: completely useless. Faction missiles are so much better there is no reason at all to use T2 missiles.
Ships: Why caldari have ships split between missiles and hybrids is beyond comprehension. Each race has their specialty weapon.. caldari ships suffer from having their ships split between using missiles (their specialty) and hybrids (not their specialty but there because caldari used to be gallente).
Solutions:
Missiles:
FOF missiles: FOF missiles need to have their homing AI check the player's STANDINGS and his corp's and alliances STANDINGS. Likes and Dislikes standings.
That way a missile fired will only home in at those who are recognized as enemies by the player by his corp and by the alliance the corp belongs to.
With that said, any player spotting a neutral ship that they wish to shoot with an FOF or know they are hostile (NBSI) they can simply set the standings for that player or corp to red and problem fixed.
T2 FOF : T2 versions of the FOF should be MIRV and SALVO versions.
MIRV: Missile fired from ship, 5 seconds into the flight it splits into 5 missiles 1 level below them (aka cruise splits into 5 heavies. if firing heavy FOF it splits into 5 lights). Each MIRV'd missile has its own FOF guidance. If missile hits target inside the 5 seconds it deals the same damage as all 5 smaller MIRV missiles.
-why this? : these weapons make excellent anti-drone and anti-smaller ship weapons.-
CLUSTER: SALVO T2 FOF's, when fired, will fire all missiles currently in the launcher at once. Player needs to reload the launcher after every shot. Each SALVO missile is bigger than normal missiles so its not like you'll be firing 20 missiles per launcher.. no, just 4 at best per launcher. These Salvo missiles do slightly less damage than a T1 FOF missile however they have twice the flight time. Making them excellent long range FOF weapons against ships of all sizes.
DEFENDER missiles:
Defender (T1) : The solution is to have the Defender missles be 'aimed' like any other missile is now. You lock a target, press the launcher with the defenders loaded.. and the launcher will fire a defender any time that ship fires a missile.
Note: this means you can PROTECT other ships since you can intercept missiles coming at others.. as long as the ship you set the defender launcher upon is the one firing those missiles.
-this will fix the issue of defenders firing and intercepting a light missile when you see 10 torpedos coming at your battleship just because the light missile was closer. also fixes the issue of each launcher firing a defender to intercept the same missile.. first defender killing missile and 2nd defender is wasted-
T2 Defenders: Come in two versions:
Proximity - Defender is slow and has a large warhead. flies to intercept missile and explodes in area of effect damage. Effective against tightly packed incoming missiles, you can take out more than 1 missile with a proximity defender.
EMP Defender: A very fast, long range missile that fly to target missile and detonates an EM pulse (aoe) that interferes with the missile's guidance systems, making them do two or three 90 degree turns at random before they 'reset' back to normal and resume flight towards their target.
-Ideal for killing a missile's range (flight time) and giving your other defender missiles more time to intercept it-

Caldari ships should all have the same number of launcher slots as they have high slots. ANY AND ALL SHIPS.
The racial specialty weapon is Missiles. Why Caldari ships are split into guns and missile platforms is beyond me.
Caldari interceptors and other T2 vessels suffer tremendously from being split into different weapon versions of the same ship while other races receive different racial bonuses (resists, etc) while maintaining their racial weapon bonuses. Caldari ships get jacked badly there.
The ROKH was a long range caldari ship.. mmm.. why railguns? Why not make it an all missile ship and give a massive boost to the missile speed?
If anything honestly, caldari should have lasers as their 2ndary weapon..they are high technology people and are friends with the Amarr much more than with the Gallente.

This is a generalization and doesn't apply to (combat ships only) Kestrel, Caracal, Drake, Raven and Rokh. Please be more specific.

Yup, gallente has drones and blasters as speciality and caldari has missiles and railguns.
Keeping in line with your argument, gallente should only have drones?

And if you want to talk about split weapon systems, take a look at the tempest and the typhoon.
Drones are not tied to the high slots of the ship. When you have 6 high slots and 3 are launchers and 3 a hard points. Thats a split system.
Drones on the other hand are located in their own bay seperate from the fittings for a ship.

Exactly. Each race should have its primary weapon available for all slots in all ships. Minmatar is split however if you notice, aside from the typhoon, most minmatar ships that have missiles also have the option of loading mostly guns with a couple of missiles...
caldari on the other hand, have their ships split into guns or missiles as the primary weapon, making caldari pilots lose out on the abilities of those vessels simply because they do not specialize in a GALLENTE primary weapon.
anyways, comments on the missiles?

you don't speak about the cerberus (problem of the dps )ore heavy assault missile launchers because the caldaris have tow sniper bot cerbe and eagle i propose to change the cerberus in a damage dealer like a deimos , now we have "our blaster in missile" but only with large weapons. please ccp make medium torpedoes !

This thread so far lacks good arguments, apart from symmetrical or uninspired game design and a lot of 'I want'.
Imho it is a very bad idea to make all ships the same, i.e. # high slots = # single type turret/missile hardpoints. 5 turrets on Moa, 5 turrets on Thorax, 5 turrets on Omen, 5 turrets on Maller, .. It's uniformity and for me that's the definition of boredom. A much better solution would be to either give split weapon platform ships (and ships lacking performance) a split weapon bonus that applies to both weapon systems, or to give them one more mid/low slot , or more cpu/pg to compensate. Examples: +1 mid slot for Moa (instead of that 5th turret hardpoint) or 10% range on hybrid AND 5% kin dmg on missiles +1 mid slot for Cyclone +1 low slot for Ferox or 10% hybrid range AND 10% missile speed +50MW for the Omen and +180MW for the Maller
The Typhoon is perfectly fine. Although it has a split weapon design, it sports a rate of fire damage bonus on ALL it's 8 high slots, where other battleships have 7 hardpoints (Megathron, Armageddon) or a less dps heavy +5% dmg bonus (Hyperion, Abaddon, Maelstrom). The Tempest has a double damage bonus, hence only 6 bonused hardpoints. Anything more would be overpowering. Then there is different drone bays, and secondary bonuses, and speed.. The reason I'm mostly referring to the damage bonus is simple. It's the single most sought-after stat in EVE.
Regarding FoF and defender missiles I tend to agree. They should at least do what they were meant for, without too many side-effects. Only other type I'd address would be HAM's.

You start well...

All these are true.

Here, the disagreements start. First, caldari are hybrid and missile, like gallente are hybrid and drone, and similar but not quite like minnie are autocannon, drone and missile, and amarr are laser and drone. Don't like one of the two weapons? Train the other. You are not "Fixing" anything by removing an option that steps on noone's toes. The fact remains that you like missiles and want caldari to use only these... Well, tough. Actually, all caldari high tier ships are gunships, except for the battlecruisers. Rofl@ "not their specialty".

MIRV: ... SALVO: ...
WTFPWN overpowered comes to mind. This makes me actually think this is a trollpost. 5 smaller missiles? WTH are you thinking??? 2.5x normal damage with smaller ship radius for MIRV. Yeah right.

Overpowered. Shoots down entire volleys?

Shrug. No opinion.

Hybrids-Are-Not-Gallente. Caldari-Are-Not-Missiles.
Simple as that. No amount of denying is going to change it.
Fully half of the Caldari combat ships are Hybrid boats. Not a few of them, not one or two, HALF of them. The OTHER half is the missile ships. Hybrids are as much Caldari as they are Gallente. The only reason some people think otherwise is because once upon a time, missiles were uber, and caldari only used these. Times past, move forward, I love my rokhs. -----sig-----

i agree that all caldari ships must be specialized on missiles: - so to increase luncher hardpoints - to create warp disruptors and webs for low slots in case of shield tankers and i have suggestion to create x-large shield extender for bs class for example: X-large shield extender cpu:56 POwer:600 Shield bonus: 4600

While we're at it.. I'd like to have mid slot damage mods, active adaptive armor hardeners, regenerative armor and plates that change the color of my ship as penalty.
Yes, you guessed right, this was a joke.
