SE flexing muscles? interesting... considering Goons dont consider them a threat and refused to allow us to go take the ex-ASCN outpost that VAF setup to stop RA running the plex up there...
Turn and turn about eh?

Surely a fine alliance such as yours was not at all too weak to actually follow through on a proposal like that. (thus ****ing SE off three or four months earlier when we were still busy in Catch)

Edited by: Grath Telkin on 15/03/2008 21:28:05 Basically it amounts to a regional conflict in the area.
There is a lot of respect for Stain pilots, and you'll likely find the only people trash talking about this are guys who aren't involved in the conflict at all (shocked, i know).
Stain fight well, and for once, were getting fights with less lag (i give credit to the new no bracket thing, turn em off and grid loads are sweet).
All but one POS in C9N of stains are currently in reinforced as part of a 6 hour op yesterday, expect more fighting today, as attempts are made by Goon, TCF, UNL, and Black-Out to push them back out of C9N.
Before the calls of blobing come out, Goon, TCF and UNL aren't fielding full fleets, as they have other commitments. The sides are near matched during most ship to ship conflicts. Its our off hours for each side that bring the most disparity.

Coven are always good for a fight and SE are probably the best small alliance out there pvp-wise so I expect you will have some fun (if you dont take titans along). .

Node crash in C9N after staring at a non-responding ship for 20 minutes with only 200 in local and around 150-160 "fighting". It's really amazing how the game actually degrades with time.

Edited by: Drakine on 16/03/2008 14:50:07 C9N is a vital strongpoint in the south. Its one jump from Goonswarms Super Highway, 2 Jumps from a TCF Sov 4 Constellation, 3 from a Goonswarm Sov 4 Constellation. Few more jumps & you will find UNL as well. It has a low moon count as well so this would allow Xenobytes to have a really nice forward base in Esoteria for killing with.
So whos winning ?

Stain pulled an alarm clock for US prime time last night. I believe it was 4 am for them on a sunday when they got numbers up in the system near their prime to take out the 2 goon POS's that came out and save their own.
Combined forces fought our way into system with a run and gun battleship group blowing through bubbles and get inside. Once in minor skirmishes and reinforcements that didnt listen were the main kills in system.
Stain secured their POS's with their fleet(near 85-90 at peak) and used their carriers to begin repair of their small towers, at the same time we cyno'd in our cap fleet at the 2 minute timer mark on our POS, deployed all ships in a shield around the death star, and saved the Goon POS that came out of reinforced.
A single strike attempt was made with a cyno ship on the goon POS by stain, but it died swiftly and i think Stain went back to the drawing board with that plan.
Goon POS hit about 60% shields, so we took advantage of the fleet in system and the amount of caps we had to put one of the smalls they had just repaired back into reinforced, under fire the whole time from its manned guns and a heavy battleship fleet doing drive by's on us.
Another day of fun and relatively low lag on a game that was having Earthquake style lag spikes yesterday

Actually it gets better with time. The more you fight in a system, the more resources are shifted to that location. Right now C9N is probably sharing a node with other solarsystems. C9N is dead 99% of the time, and only serves minor traffic route. You could be on the same node as 50 other 0.0 locations for all you know. If you keep fighting there, C9N will eventually get shifted to nodes with less pre-existing load.
Of course you were just being emo, so, go cry emo kid ;____; _______________________________ http://epicwords.net/ |

I'm only emo because there was a 3-4 month period after rev 2 where you could have 300+ person fights in any random system with relatively little lag, and needed over 600 to stress the reinforced nodes. It used to be better than this!
