Is that correct? Another 3hr DT today or just not changed the message from yesterday?

If they are planning on another extended DT today, without giving us warning in advance, CCP fails at life.
If they forgot to change the message, fair enough. Still pretty fail tbh

That could be it, but then again with all the various valid complaints floating around I'd be just as happy to think they might be addressing one of them today. ______________________________

i dont mind another longer dt. but i dont think that can fix the overview settings "jumping around" . hopefully wrecks vanish from directional, its quite a mess when you try to find something and its full of wrecks :P

I bet 10 MILLION ISK that there will be a message on the login screen at approximately 14:00 today that says something along the lines of 'we are experiencing some problems' or 'taking longer than expected' and 'we hope to be up and running by 15:00'

Hmmm. My alt has a skill ending at 13:46. Do I risk it and not change skill just before DT, I want to do the next level (5) on this skill, or do I remember wednesday and change skill?

Oh come on mate - this is something like the 3rd or 4th time this week isn't it? Since the first patch or whichever patch screwed things up this week, there are people lagging all over the place, bugs popping up all over, people like myself with more than one account on one machine are unable to play and forcing EVE to quit and restarting - this week has been hideous for some people. So to add another extended downtime on a weekend I'd expect people to complain a bit.

Probably just a left over from the day before. Main guys for operations probably were up for 36 hours or so to deal with 1.1 and then had to do the extended DT after coordinating with devs to fix some noob missions. Probably just tired on Friday and wanted nothing more than to get a beer and go home for much needed sleep on a Friday night.
In comes the weekend crew that probably do whatever they were told to do, change control management for the win, and the "change the dt message" was likely over looked.
My guess.

So, you're complaining that all these problems are happening and then you're going to complain again about the prospect that they might be working to fix some of them?
Well... OK.
I'd much rather think that they're going to come in to the office on a saturday and get to work on some of these issues, that's customer service. Two hours longer downtime is two hours that I won't have to play with a bunch of lag or moons not showing up or instances crashing or whatever it is they might be working on. ______________________________

So is it 1 hr or 3 hrs?
Would it be possible to receive some clarification from CCP, like, maybe before DT?

Since there hasn't been any yet it's probably just one hour. They forgot about the message. Can't be certain tho.

I lost track of exactly what happened this week, but if they've already had a couple of other extended DT's this week, why not have just extended them even further and just sorted the problem out in one go, rather than cause the frustration of repeated extended DTs?

Problem is that they haven't tell that dt lenght anywhere before those ingame infos... There is many players who will lose training time etc if they really do 2h longer dt than normally.

I don't know man, maybe they couldn't for some reason. It's assumed that none of the bad consequences of the patch were planned, so you can further assume that their causes take time to determine -- bug reports to sift through, testing to be done, etc etc.
Or they could just rush in a fix based on guesses and **** up a bunch of other stuff I guess.
Obviously it's a crappy situation all around, but on the other hand what's two hours? ______________________________

I have just checked, still no response from CCP here so I have changed alt skill training to mid afternoon.
The message is still showing Extened DT when you log in, so I will be cautious and assume it is correct and there is a 3hr DT.
I feel sorry for anybody that has not logged in since before 10am GMT and might lose out because of this, if it is true.

I had skills that I wanted to finish training by then I'm going away for a coupla days and wanted them to finish, so I could then leave them to train to the next level while I'm away - but now I'm gonna have to set something up to train for the next few days NOW, and then sort out the ones I wanted when I get back in a couple of days. That's my beef - there's probably lots of other people who had things planned too. I've petitioned CCP with words like 'URGENT' and 'MISTAKE' and 'DOWNTIME' - hopefully if they're not reading the forums, they'll read that and we'll get a response from somewhere regarding what's happening.

Dear players, the servers are down for one hour each day for maintenance and updates. The daily downtime will begin in 14 minutes at 11:00 GMT. The servers will be back up again one hour later. Please make sure your characters are out of harms way before the servers close.

The fifteen minute warning just came twice - first time to say extended down time, and then again to say it'll be down for an hour. Personally, I'm going to be setting an eight day skill...
