TBH im surprised they didnt do it much earlier. It will make there logistics/ super cap production so easy it would be a joke.
a sov 3 system 1 jump from 0.5+
Im at work but i think they even have sov systems on a jump bridge route all the way from ec- to their home systems.

Actually this is a totally sensible move for Tri, EC- guards the primary pipeline from Deklein to hi-sec and controlling it benefits their logistics and pirating activities.
P.S. I'm not being critical of piracy as I happily indulge myself given half a chance.
