Of all the alliances in Eve we would rate ev0ke at the top for alliances we respect. This move has nothing to do with the tournament, they beat us fair and square and we got past our own expectations to reach that stage. This is a logistical move, nothing more.

Yes large alliances are well known to mobilise 100 caps due to kneejerk reactions...
I would have to guess it is due to EC- being 2 jumps away from one of TRI's jumpbridges. EC- and surrounding systems are constantly hunted and camped...it can make it difficult for TRI to move slow ships those 2 jumps to the jump bridge.
Having Sov in a system next to empire and with a station in it kind of makes loads of logistical sense don't you think. From high sec...straight into the jmp bridge network..and back again

a sov 3 system 1 jump from 0.5+
Im at work but i think they even have sov systems on a jump bridge route all the way from ec- to their home systems.

Actually this is a totally sensible move for Tri, EC- guards the primary pipeline from Deklein to hi-sec and controlling it benefits their logistics and pirating activities.
P.S. I'm not being critical of piracy as I happily indulge myself given half a chance.

As a Pure Blind (and blue to Tri) resident, all I can say is: finally.
EC was a nightmare for every logistics convoy that you wanted to get through to Pure Blind with evoke and random other alliances camping the gate all day long.
And the detour via Nonni/Aunenen-93PI (while camped a lot less) is just plain annoying and has the usual local low sec pirates to evade as well.
Shame that I gotta go to a birthday party right now, else I'd come and join the pewpew.
I'll drink a beer or a dozen on you and GF to all parties involved.

I dont think its gonna stop randomers camping the gates tbh, there are still station systems nearby in PB that I think Tri need to take to fully cut ppl off. And there have been a few random alliances that have moved in PB, like G Thanks etc which would need removing.

Unless someone built a new one recently, which I really doubt (lol pure blind), P-2TTL is the only other non NPC station in PB, and it's controlled by a Tri friendly alliance. X-7, ROIR, and the others are all NPC systems.

Taking over those station is in our planning as well. We have already given The Servant Sisters of EVE several notices to vacate those systems but still no reply.
We are considdering a temporary alliance with the Guristas to get rid of these so called 'NPC's' once and for all.

You can basically bet on that. And I wouldn't mind battling Omnor again it was fun shooting at you guys hasnt been since they nerfed the nanophoons I dont think.
And to knock out peoples theory that Tri is doing this because they lost a tourny.. Both tri and evoke got high in that tourny and in the end evoke won - good job to Evoke.. As for tri bombing EC.. They talked about taking over EC many times when I was in tri not long ago well before this tourny they just got around to doing it. It was on the agenda.

Built by Trust, they made a Mothership, Bob and ASCN didnt like it and held down EC, gave the station to ISS, D2 got ****ed at ISS, and took there stations, few corps left D2 and formed Evoke and kept EC-.

hmm, i was away some days and here everybody talking like we already took ec-. Today i saw sov. evoke, sov level 3....
Shouldnt we take it first and then talk who can dock etc? or did i miss something?

This was a very wise Move on TRI's part. The logistics in the North has been a Pain in the butt to get through EC-. securing this system and putting a little order into it will keep all the campers away. Unfortunately the timing with the tourney does somewhat suggest to others a different motive. but hose that live in the north understand fully. I support TRI in this move.

Actually, I think most of tri would rather the camping increases once we get everything set up. Think about it: 20 man camp on torr gate, 2 jumps down from dek? please sir can I have another?
