I hear what your saying, you tried empire wars.
But personaly I would love for 0.0 space to be doubled in size so its more dynamic and viable for smaller groups along with a blob of empire stuck out in the middle of nowere which would only encourage more 0.0 population, more movment, more proper pirating, more scope and give people in empire to be split apart from there safe haven by giving them a choice instead of a do or die option alot arnt interested in.
As it stands empire is over safty netted in that it dosn;t encourage 0.0 exploration and those that do, ie those who want to pvp (which is the only real incentive) would have a easier life instead of being tied down to nano ships to avoid the instant blobs and alow them to roam 0.0 instead of dipping in at a few choke points and out again soon as the wind indicates the blob. A larger 0.0 would allow more buffer zones and with a blob of empire in the middle of it then it would encourage migration and as such make the map less predictable along with the whole state of 0.0.
But as a whole I agree it is being dumbed down, like releasing a car then few years later offering driving leasons, you can see how those who learnt to drive all by themselved feel, especialy when there is no new models to allow them to capitalise upon there edge. T2 well overdue, which is why pretty much all specialisations in eve are all but 3 months away in many area's and older players feel that they have reached the peak of the montain without anything left to climb.
I would love to see ships or modules that would take you 6 months plus even if you had a maxed out char to train for with new skills demanding high prereq's, new stuff that is true specialisations instead of at most a 3 months detour of what your doing now. Make the game more dynamic from a skillpoint perspective and not a isk perspective as since GTC's that whole base of dynamics got perversed towards the lucky and the RL rich.
Keep your account, see if they listern, but alas I would mine veld for a week for CCP if they even replied to this post with any feedback at all. Especialy when feedback is akin to a nuke going off and being warned about it after the half-life decay has reached safty levels type approach too feedback.
