Lets face it, the dining in NOL just ain't happening. Sure, the whole EVE server ganging up on them was a really big roadblock. But an entity like BOB learns from its mistakes (Evolution? :)), and I think they understand now that diplomacy is as important as holding the field in a battle. Also, the amount of respect you earn from fighting off an attack like that, and stand your ground against impossible odds... Well... even old enemies to BOB recognizes "Elite" when they see it. Respect. To many alliances/players hold value to there ships and mods. This causes players not to get involved in most alliance warfare. Its hard to get id of any alliance in eve as they only go when they wish to go but as far as removing GOONS is concerned its doubly as amusing because as soon as you start kicking their asses in one way they pour onto the forums claiming not to care about that aspect of the game. But at least the more the screech about not caring on CAOD like some stroppy teenager the more you know you are causing them real grief.

Both sides can rightly claim the other is "The One True Evil" and use it for internal propaganda/ recruitment. Both sides seem to have more fun when clashing with each other than most anything else thanks to the 'emotions' involved. Not entirely unlike a modern day marriage actually .. beautiful thing indeed I honestly believe they will both say they are in a good place now if asked.
