I don't think adds in Eve is a good idea, i mean eve has a very good background story, the lore is good> Eve is a different world from ours so why mix them up?
If you would pay ISK instead of dollars or euro and create some add for your corperation or for some products you are selling... then i believe this should be possible because it's eve related butadds that are non ingame related... oh no please not

add a marquee sort of thing cant be very difficult to programme ..tbh.
the charcaters arent animated .. just photos and it would make things more interesting as you fly through space - things like corps offering bounties on players all that type of stuff ... ESPECIALLY PRE AMBULATION derr derrrr ...! The reason come to a party on so and so space station great music and easy Martini style any place any time anywhere girls...!

actually thats another good idea - actually show some serpentis and raiders criminals. anyway the guy that programmed the boards doesnt work for ccp apparently ..

I think RL companies would just setup accounts and get some isk and then advertise their RL products.
Would be cool if we could have (unarmed) billboards that belong to 0.0 alliances. Whoever holds sov can anchor 1 per gate (they don't get a choice on the exact placing, just like POS), and they are indestructable like outposts, so when you capture a system, you capture control of the boards.
I think it'd be potentially really damn cool and immersive to have "Providence, your gateway to the Empire" or something on billboards, then some add pop up when you click on it. Trouble is as said before, many ppl might be tempted to do RL adverts, and then you have to have a whole team of moderators going round checking things, just like with signatures on forums
