Hi,
For the sole purpose of statistics, I'm writing down the time it takes for me (or anyone who feels like it) to login Jita.
The format I'll use is: <YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm> -- "Entering Game as ..." duration
So: 2008-03-19 21:13 -- 47 minutes (22:00)

Don't what???
I was jumping from New Caldari to Jita. Waited. Waited. Waited. Logged off. Then tried to log back. So...

You may be new here, so I'll cut you some slack.
Jita is a horrible cess-pit of lag, and avoid going to it or through it if at all possible ever. EVER. Going twenty jumps out of your way will be faster than going through Jita.
Logging in to jita take even longer. What you should do instead is file a stick petition here: Linkage and request to be moved out of Jita, it should be taken care of pretty quickly. ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.2 |

Not being in Jita has lost precisely none of its allure for me since the last time I posted that I wasn't in Jita. ______________________________

Thanks for all the replies and tips. But I REALLY need to go to Jita. There's no response from the client. Not a single warning saying the login process is expected to take some extra time. Not a single warning saying that the connection has expired. Nothing. Just "Entering Game as ..."
So... 2008-03-19 21:13 -- 60 minutes (22:13)

You could do something really radical, as in file a stuck petition.

Edited by: File Slievugh on 19/03/2008 22:24:28 Ok, I must be stuck for I'm seeing the "Entering Game as ..." for 70 minutes now.
2008-03-19 21:13 -- 70 minutes (22:23)
What I would expect, after 20 minutes trying to login, is for the client to abort the operation, and allow to petition or warn about a link to follow as Tarminic already placed here.
PS: I really not that masochist but I'm just testing how long I can look at this welcome screen.
