Originally by: Kell Braugh So now all mission bounties and wrecks belong to and are payed to the character that accepts the mission. Great, the farmers pat CCP on the back, "Good job!".
Beyond this change not really helping anyone but farmers, not sure why it was made. Was sharing bounties "too fair" ?
I dont think CCP did this with farmers in mind. That being said, what about the new system doesnt work for you? If your running a mission with someone you know then you can trust them to give you your fair share. If your in a mission with someone you dont know, then I have to question why your there in the first place.
Quote: What you should do is challenge the higher level mission runners at this point. Running level 5s is stupid at best
Agreed.
Quote: ... which in a properly fit Raven takes about as much risk and concentration as mining in high sec. Laughable at best if not just the biggest sway in the risk vs. reward scale that Eve has to offer
Really this stretches outside of exaggerating and falls into the category of a direct lie. You cant compare mining in high sec with running a lvl4 in a raven solo. SOME missions might be easy enough to just warp in, and FOF afk, but MOST are not. I dont think serious mission runners even use FOF so already LVL4 Missions = Interactive and Mining High Sec= Inactive. Now lets talk about the next misrepresentation in your statement. No a Raven (Even properly fit) can not just steamroll LVL4s solo. The raven must be "better" than properly fit. Either a CNR, or Officer Fittings, or both to "effortlessly" run lvl4s. Sure you can run Lvl4s in a standard raven with T2 fittings, but then its no longer "effortless". If you want "Effortless" you better spend several BILLION on a Officer/Faction Fit CNR.
Quote: I suggest a lot more warp scrambling, distributed agro from npc spawns and nerfing bounties (possibly offsetting such with boosts to the loot table?). I mean seriously, its just not all that fun to pwn spawn after spawn, doing nothing but targeting them and F1-F8.
This would make it more "fun" for you and more likely for you to do the mission? I think not. I think its more likely you just want other people to incur losses.
Quote:
First and foremost, please reverse the wreck/bounty ownership changes you made, as 'invading' a mission is in the game mechanic and there are game mechanics to protect both sides in the form of agro and flagging.
I knew it. I knew there was a malicous reason for your opposition to the change! If your doing a mission with someone you know, the mechanic doesnt effect you, but if your goal is to cause trouble.....
Quote: Lastly, some thought should be put in to prevent and discourage 'farming' of missions.....(blahblahblah)...
Its pretty clear you do not approve of people running missions for isk. Congratulations, your opinion is in a large and extremely vocal block of people. Thankfully CCP has been wise enough to allow people who just want to play in empire running missions the ability to do so. Not everyone who runs missions is a chinese farmer. Im an American that hugs empire space while I build up skills and wealth so I can participate reasonably well in a 0.0 environment. You'd rather me be expelled from empire (by making it a waste of time to stay there) so you can kill me before I am prepared....
What it all boils down to is this: You want missions to be unprofitable so mission runners will leave empire and go provide easy targets for you in low-sec/0.0.
In reality if CCP caved in to this, most PVE mission runners would simply quit. Although you would love that, CCP would not as PVE'ers provide about half their income.
