I'm working on getting into a Zealot and am trying to come up with a good fitting in EFT. Problem is, every decent fitting I can come up with that doesn't use faction gear goes over on CPU by a good amount. I need to know, is there any decent fitting for the new 5 turret zealot that doesn't require me to get faction gear? Every single viable zealot fitting I find on forums involves a shadow serpentis MWD and other faction gear as well.
Will mostly be used in small gangs, where few if any people will be nano-fitted. Tank fitting, Gank fitting, and Speed fittings would be nice.
Sorry, just getting frustrated trying to find a decent non-faction Zealot setup.

Pure anti support role fit (pure but does it insanely good)
5xHPII scorch
1xMWDII 2xSBII
3xHSII 3xTEII 1xMARII
rigs none needed really so its fairly cheap.
Solo fitting:
5xHPII
1xMWDII 1xWDII 1xCB
1xMARII 1xEANMII 1xDCII 1xCO-PROCII 3xHSII
1xPG RIG 1xPOLY or AUX THRUST -------------------------------------- [Video]Skirmish Warfare |

Beamsniper version, fits with AWU3
[Zealot 2, New Setup 1] Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Damage Control II Tracking Enhancer II Tracking Enhancer II Capacitor Power Relay II
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Sensor Booster II, Targeting Range Sensor Booster II, Targeting Speed
Heavy Beam Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Beam Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Beam Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Beam Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Beam Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M
CPR required to regain cap while shooting. Around 500 gun dps at 29km, hits out to 110km for 290. Probably rig polycarbons to help maintain range.

Zealot needs moar fittings... not sure wtf CCP was thinking when they gave it a fifth turret without fittings for it.

I think they were thinking to fit smaller guns.

hmm... seems interesting.
deimos-like setup:
[Zealot, New Setup 1] Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Damage Control II Adaptive Nano Plating II Adaptive Nano Plating II Capacitor Power Relay II
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Warp Disruptor II Stasis Webifier II
Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M
Trimark Armor Pump I Trimark Armor Pump I
50 less dps than a neutron + null deimos, same effective HP, 32km optimal
no room for the SAR II like I have in the deimos tho, so no ability to rep between battles. ---

If one wants the five guns to be the biggest available then it's only fair that one makes sacrifices elsewhere. A good gang Zeal uses two overdrives giving it a decent speed - the 30k range of the pulses is it's strength exploit it :D
The Adaptive Nano Plating (ANP) modules gives a decent enough resist bonus for 0 CPU and allows for: 5x Heavy Pulse MWD, Web, Point Rep, Suitcase, 2x ANP, 3x HSII
But the magic doesn't start until one accepts the Focused Pulses as an option. The extra gun makes up for the damage decrease and gives a ton of extra fitting options.

It's true, you'll do *marginally* better DPS at slightly lower range with 5 FMP II than 4 HP II... but what kind of balls out fighting doesn't want to fit the biggest gun they can?!

Yea, Im prolly one of the few fitting it like this for medium sized gangs. It just feels better to be 100% useful instead of fitting nano crap in the lows and do suck damage and not hit support and be 30% useful. Lets face it, youre fast enough already. You only need super nano fits for solo or very small gang stuff. Those 2km/s extra aint gonna save you if you get into trouble in medium-large engagements. -------------------------------------- [Video]Skirmish Warfare |

i dont like the nano setup, i usualy use this
4 heavy pulses t2 1 focused t2 (if u use small rep, u can fit 5 heavy pulses t2) 10 mn t2 mwd, x5 web, t2 warp disruptor (or dread guristas for cpu) 2 hs t2, med rep t2 (or small rep), 800 mm tungsten plate, true sansha thermal hardener, mix of eanm t2 and adaptive plating rigs depends on the wallet

For the people fitting ANPs, shouldn't at least one of those be replaced by a Thermal plate instead? Ships dealing thermal damage are 13 per dozen. ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. If I flew amarr, I would nano the crap out of this ship. Give nano a try you amarr lovers, you'll be surprised how well it actually does.
My EFT minmatar minded zealot setup (All lvl 5):
Highs: 4x Heavy pulse laser t2 w/ conflag
Mids: 1x 10MN MWD t2 1x warp disrupt t2 1x med cap booster t2
Lows: 3x Overdrives t2 3x Heatsinks t2 1x Damage control t2
Rigs: 2x Poly carb t1
ship goes just under 6000 m/s, does over 400 dps, and is highly dependent on cap charges.
I mean really, all those lows, plus uber cap, plus damn good resists is just begging to nano. Try breaking away from your typical set-ups amarr pilots instead of giving the usual response, "Nano ships are teh gey." Most nano ships don't have enough low slots to also fit damage mods, this ship does! USE IT!
DO IT, you know you want to. Miz Stelth Bomerz iz the ****nit. |

Consider this FMP fit Liang, basically just taking Grimpaks setup that one step further.
5x Focused Pulse MWD, Web, point Rep, Suitcase, ANP, 1600RT, 3x HSII 2x Trimark Rigs
Drops 13% damage and 4km optimal compared to the Heavy Pulse variants but has close to 50k effective hitpoints - almost double that of Grimpaks version. With buffers being king in the current climate I know which I would choose.
The TE/HS version looks like it can be a lot of fun, turns the Zealot into a 50km smartbomb - Just what the doctor ordered in this 'Age of Nanos'

Honestly, the only way I've ever flown a Zealot is nano'd... so I'm probably not the best one to ask about plate Zealots. :p

I couldn't fit the Lyria setup but I like it:
I have a hard time picking rigs since CCC/ACR are expensive and the armor rigs nerf speed and speed rigs nerf armor :(
AWU 4 setup 4x HP II 1x FMP II (ugh so close on fitting 5 HP)
10mn MWD II Large cap battery II Fleeting web
MAR II, 2 Heat sink II, 1 TE II, Co-proc II, EANM II, IFF ACR rig, then either anti-therm or low friction nozzle rig
Goes 1838m/s with no plants/armor rigs. Can run either MWD or MAR for 2-3 minutes or both for a minute but if you are running both then you are probably trying to warp out so meh.
Use your range of 30km with scorch. I use web so I can hang out at 30km ish and only web if I get tackled by a frigate. Haven't tested it but HP II should be able to waste a web'd frigate or something orbiting at 20km

HAHA yep, sorry about that.
w/out snakes: ~3800 Still a nice speed. Can bump it up faster and get rid of the damage control 2. which is about 4000.
Also if you have a tackler, slap a large shield extender 2 on it instead of the warp disrupter. Miz Stelth Bomerz iz the ****nit. |

QFT - CPU hardwirings are a good value for money and open MANY possibilities in quite a few ships - not just the Zealot. And 5x FMP II are better than 4x HP II ... so... Join the Biggest Greek Corp! www.Mythos-eve.com - Join Mythos Channel in game!
