Because large alliances don't mine their own minerals? Bored during down time? Try this. |

First not only would that cripple goonswarm and jihadswarm but ever other corp alliance and player in the game. second corps/alliances that big can mine for them selves bribe and contract third party miners. Think about the long term Repercussions of you actions and how they would hurt you more than benefit you.

I agree that an alliance the size of Goonswarm will have plenty of people to mine.
If their intention was to push up market mineral prices then they surely must have pre planned to have miners ready so that they weren't hit by the price changes. So by stopping mining aren't you harming people not in Jihadswarm?
I agree that 0.0 needs empire and empire needs 0.0. If it wasn't for empire miners it'd be harder for us to get ships, if it wasn't for us loosing ships it'd be harder for you guys to make a profit. -------- Billy Jean is not my lover |

If there are miners there, do you expect them to listen to you ?
he has a point, id say any 0.0 alliance as large as goonswarm has its own division of lowsec, 0.0 and high sec miners, and a division of manufactuers
oh wait lol all types minerals spawn in 0.0 regardless of loc, just luck, so scratch low and high sec miners

The logic of this post is just bad. Suppose you convince a significant number of miners to stop mining. The longer this goes on, mineral prices will keep rising, and miners will get more and more tempted to start mining again because of the massive and increasing profit they can make. Simple game theory dictates that any rational miner would immediately resume mining, thus resulting in EPIC FAIL.
Ironically though, the only people hurt by this are those stupid enough to continue this "boycott" in spite of logic. Thus, stupid people with less isk will be worse equipped to subsidize the scammers in jita that prey almost exclusively off stupid people, resulting in less junk messages and annoyance for myself and other rational players. Wonderful idea.

I've seen both sides of this story and really, this will hurt everyone in highsec more than 0.0. If you think by stopping all highsec mining will hurt anyone in 0.0... you have it wrong. The guys in low sec can do anything highsec miners can do PLUS double anything highsec can do. Those guys out in 0.0 can get the isk plus the mats to build anything so basicly join up with a bigger alliance or grin and bare what any corp/alliance/player does in eve. I've already lost a hulk once but had enough to replace it. It's like a lot of players say, "If you can't replace it, don't fly it."

I think they get the minerals by themselves. Harvesting moons etc.. And every man has his price..

You should not try and strike. You guys should have a nice ISK wallet. Join forces and strike back. If this means you got to hire "MANY" mercs then so be it? Good luck to you high sec miners anyways. (gotta love the Jihadswarm idea just a little bit)

Most likely, your one man strike will have little impact on the market. These "losers" can't be everywhere and there's money to be made. Sure, the risk of mining alone has increased, but nowhere near enough to warrent a full strike.
