If thats the logic he is applying then he is ignoring the fact that CVA built 7 outposts in Providence?

Edited by: Haverloth on 27/03/2008 18:49:15 More enemies to shoot at - at this point the Gallente falling in with brigands such as the Electus Matari doesn't really surprise me. Hopefully at least some of Phoenix Wing are willing to be educated and may yet come to see the light. But pledging your loyalty to the Federation whilst joining a group of known terrorists? That doesn't make much sense to me. I suppose it's not really surprising that uneducated and confused rabble can manage to come up such ridiculous logical leaps.
Originally by: Andreus Ixiris Providence is not a legally owned province of the Amarr Empire according to CONCORD dictate and never will be. Eventually, someone will throw you out of it - until then, you're just squatting in territory that the Ushra'Khan rightfully own.
Providence is a Province of the Amarr Empire administered by the CVA and their Holders. The Ushra'Khan incursion was ended some time ago, at great cost to the U'K. ____________________

Originally by: Admiral Serrano I am slightly puzzled as to why federal forces are so willing to support the independence of the Minmatar nation.
Do the minmatars not see that this may lead them into being drawn into the federation?
A pact that once made will be abused by the federals until the Minmatar have to fight another war of independence.
On the other hand if the damn federals are meddling in the Amarr/Minmatar situation perhaps they will draw the ire of some of the Amarr paramilitaries.
NIX are not 'Federal Forces' as i explained above we support the ideals of the Federation but not necessarily the Federation itself. While the Federation supports the ideals i have stated above we will be supporters of the Federation and the same can be said for the Republic. NIX will go wherever we feel our strength can be helpful in the cause of upholding those ideals, most notably in this case the right that everyone has to be free. we have no interest in bringing the Republic into the Federation we are only interested in helping our Matari brothers and sisters in their war against slavery.

Either way, it's good to be fighting alongside Phoenix Wing again, mates, and a relief that you're still working on behalf of the people of our great civilisation.

Originally by: Aria Jenneth I wish I could remember who that destroyer pilot was, exactly.
So do I. It is aggravating, because Fate and Fortune and the beloved Lord all know how I was swearing at him that evening, and it is rather difficult to move me to swear!
I was not afraid, Mademoiselle-Captain. I was fully confident your Crow would shred my Celestis once you were able to get out from under being locked and damped (Kale Ryoko did that a short time later). My engaging would have served no purpose at that time other than to slaughter my crew and remove an asset from the fleet operation that was still in the process of forming.
If memory serves me at all, the destroyer pilot was a member of Takagi. We were under orders to travel to that station and await the rest of the joint operation. We were not to engage until then, merely to observe how you were handling your Crow. For the pilot's own reasons, he chose to ignore orders. Twice.
In the interests of continued good diplomatic relations -- I also did not think you would be surprised at all by the tactic -- I refrained from targeting him myself. Also, some lessons are better taught by one's opponents, hmm?

Ms. Tisserand:
Really, now? ... Well, in fairness he might have been able to do me a lot more damage if he'd been a better shot. But it is interesting (cheering, actually) to hear that he was actually ignoring orders in engaging me, certainly the second time.
It certainly seems to be true that some lessons are better taught by one's opponents. I think the most I ever learned about fighting capsuleers was from an absolute fiasco of a pirate hunt when I was with the Kimotoro Directive; we took an entire small fleet, ranging from cruisers and frigates to a couple of battleships, up against a single pirate Dominix. That was my first introduction to the energy-drain Domi ... quite a first meeting. I didn't lose a ship, but many, many others did.
Education of the finest sort.

The federation is a nest of hypocrites. Your interference in the Minmatar situation is evidence enough of this. I don't expect you to see your hypocrisy in this, but these Minmatar are not your brothers or sisters anymore than the Caldari were.
They are simply the next target for federal assimilation, a fact they will come to regret in the future I have no doubt. You support their "freedom" now but when they wish to remain free from you later they will see your true nature revealed when the sky turns dark with federal warships above their home worlds.

Oh so I guess the fact that Phoenix Wing was previously a part of Electus Matari would have no bearing on us calling them our Brothers and Sisters, the Caldari's twisted way of thinking is the reason I no longer consider myself Caldari, we are not interfering we are helping, try and at least get one fact right.

Helping is a form of interference. One may consider it positive interference, but it still interference. Some of us would like to see the Minmatar Republic stand on its own.
The Phoenix Wing may very well have the best of intentions in aiding Electus Matari.
But that is not the only event with which some of us view the increasing involvement of Federation and Federation-loyal organizations in the development of the Republic. Add to this the growth of a Matari minority within the Federation there may very well be a movement to dissolve the Republic and join the Matar with Federation.
Serrano-haan and other Caldari are warning the Minmatar against getting to close to the Federation. Our history speaks to why, a lose of control over the path which our own people took. But maybe it will be different for the Minmatar, maybe they have the population to keep laws and edicts that would be harmful to their way of life from getting passed in the Senate. http://homepage.mac.com/d3x2006/Sites/LDIS/ Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.[/url] Not an LDIS press release. |

Right.

You signed the Federation's charter, and became part of the Federation. The planets that you settled became part of the Federation. You voided the charter, then refused to leave stuff which, under the charter, which you signed, was still property of the Federation. You then blame every Federal citizen and the current Federation for the actions of an insane, ultranationalist splinter group which seized control of the Federation in a coup.
While the actions the Federation Navy took under this radical splinter group were unfortunate, it was still your people who sabotaged Nouvelle Rouvenour and your hero-worshiped Admiral Tovil-Toba who crashed a capital ship into Hueremont. Trying to seek a moral high-ground here for either sides is futility, so just give up the damn grudge already.
And if you could recognise that the Amarrians will eventually screw you over, like they do with all their "allies", that would be nice as well. ----- CEO, Heretic Logistics 30m ISK is SERIOUS BUSINESS! |

Eh. Another discussion turn clouded. I have found a new investment plan: loudspeakers and earplugs - both will be bought by the pilots on this channel. Always shouting, shouting like damaged sound files caught in a loop.
Pilot Ixiris, do you notice, also, that you would use "you" constantly in your argument against a Caldari, as if that person is responsible, while you refer to the Gallente responsible in a third person fashion? Do you seek to lay blame at another's feet while distancing yourself from the very same events? Also, Admiral Tovil-Toba and his sacrifice shows exactly what is meant to be Caldari; he and his crews died to give the people time to escape bombardment and extermination.
Do not respond to my questions here. Simply think on them.
As to the rest of you, take your howling elsewhere if it is not directly related to the subject of this specific corporation's operations as it announced.
