To the OP:
Why can't you people realise that EVERYTHING in EVE is PvP. Thats why, when you log on, there are 25k+ players online and not just you.
Market - PvP - other players selling/buying stuff Mining - PvP - Competing with other players for resources Fighting - PvP - Obvious Mission Running - PvP - We can hunt you down even in there sonny jim. Lag - Because of PvP of all sorts Nerfs - Because of PvP - making sure all the PLAYERS are as balanced as possible
You can't play EVE without partaking in PvP. Leave the nubs alone, and if they want to join a corp then they will. You want war targets, go shoot BoB or Goon, im sure they'll be much more entertaining to kill, or is it that you just want "Easy" war targets.

Why are you worried about noob corpers? It's not like there's not enough player corps around filled to the brim with inexperienced and clueless players already.
What game are you playing? They mine, they produce goods, they transport needed items, they research prints to resell, and they generally keep in contact with some other NPC corpmates of similar interests. Many of them also contract with me to supply me with materials I need to run my corp. They also serve as part of the contact web in other regions. They have a place. Work with those you can, but don't denigrate them as a group.

Actually, carebears in NPC corps ARE contributing to the game, and they aren't always playing solo.
I know a ton of players in School of Applied Knowledge would go on joint ops together. The main motivations they had for not joining a player corporation and staying in the noob corp were the following: no taxes, no wars, and no politics or drama. Furthermore, players like myself absolutely loved being in a noob corp because 1) there were lots of people to talk to, and 2) lots of new players who needed help with the game.

Concord doesn't provide consequences. Concord provides insurance payouts. |

I can see some truth in that, but I'd say market PvP isn't limited to the instant of transaction in that way, nor to each transaction's two participants. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

What exactly are you talking about? the PVP comes from sellers trying to make a profit while still trying to make a profit.
Given that not all items sold are built or mined, but I daresay that their would be problems if people had like officer turret bpos or such.

You made my point for me. Players selling to players, for whatever reason, is still PvP. The player selling is trying to make a profit, if possible under-cutting the opposition to ensure a sale.
The players buying may be buying materials to build stuff, again as cheaply as possible and before other players buy those goods. Therefore PvP.

CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |
