When people follow you around and shoot at you, that's generally a sure sign.

Edited by: Tai Paktu on 27/03/2008 06:04:01 Generally, you'll see a large number of people and they will be trying to kill you...
On a serious note, weren't you the guy who stole from some alliance and they promised to hunt you down? Well, they can't dec you in an NPC corp. On the other hand, that doesn't stop them from suiciding you. And if they're being paid enough to kill you, it's no sweat of their back.
Take note of corps you see often and if one of them looks mercish and has members shadowing you, it's tinfoil time.

As far as signs go I think it usually starts with NPC corp characters flying around you trying to look innocent, locking you perhaps few times and you hear characteristic 'pingping' sound. Or they just sit there and you hear that 'pingping' (meaning ship scanner) sound.
If you really **** someone off tho they do not hire mercks on you. They will come after you personally then. You can pull off quite nice suicide ganks with bil and if you plan for it you can almost be sure you get pod also each time. And being in NPC corp is no cure if someone is really after your pod.
Most serious corps do that on principle to corp thiefs. Nothing makes you feel better than podding the bastard back to stone age, eh ? And between their memeber base they can usually afford 2 .. 3 suicide ganks per week to keep guy implant free. Unlikely to happen tho in case of industrial corps. They just find someone who calls themselves mercks and they will camp you into station for few weeks.
