The closer you get to actually defining what "sandbox gameplay" means, the more you will realize "sandbox therefore something about how PvP should work" is such a heinous non-sequitur that you and your entire family deserved to be griefed for the consequential brain damage.

I never asked for any of that. I never talked about CNRs, officer mods, or Zydrine. That all coming from you.
But he is right. All of this stuff comes from Empire space so the lack of safety needs to be there. For what its worth, "carebear hate" is not the deep-seeded bile of disdain that you envision. I'll let you in on a little PvPer secret: When we have no one to fight, we taunt - and we are quite good at it, thanks.

Not zydrine, its not from a common ore in empire. Whats your point.
The point is empire space and 0.0 sec are hopelessly interconnected. As it stands, too many items are exported from empire to 0.0 hence making empire a bit too profitable. Ideally, it should go the other way around: 0.0 exports rare valuables to empire. Suicide ganking is only one equalizer, and it might not be enough.

Again you are talking about your opinions here. Most players that live in empire want it safe, thats why they are there. All I'm saying is you should under no circumstances force anyone to do anything, that has always screwed up sub numbers in MMO's. And the more subs the more money to CCP and the more devs they can hire and the more development we get of the game.
If people want to run around safe in 1.0, let them. If they want to fight in low sec let them. You shouldn't give a crap how people play the game as long as they are not sploiting. Mind your own business and let others mind theirs.
The best way to get people into low-sec is to get more content added to 0.0 so people really want to go there, not revamping high-sec to get them out of there. People should be tempted out of high-sec, not forced out.
Please don't put words in empire-dweller's mouths. Maybe CCP will conduct a poll, but many like that sense of excitement. If I wanted to grind up undisturbed, there a million F2P games even that can fulfill that.

Originally by: Darwin Duck Ok, then name one other space MMO. Can you? Though not.
That explains everything. EVE is not meant to be "The Space MMO." Space just happens to be the setting because its easy to expand the boundaries of a sandbox.
People like you are the reason they ruined the ending of A.I.. EVE is supposed to be a catharsis, not a game where they hand you trivially easy tasks, then pixies shower you with fake gold to reassure you that you are an awesome person because you can't do it yourself. You create your avatar, and then you kick it down the stairs. Either everyone hates you, you have no ISK, or you are Chribba. Half the fun is losing everything, the other half is cutting your losses. Oh, and its awesome.
The fact that you don't like that or get it is fine. The fact that you want to ruin it for everyone else is what makes you worthless.
