AmarrSecSlave	Posted - 2008.03.29 22:50:00 - [1] Watching killboards while running missions today it seems Axe Attacked Bruce today. It looks like Bruce held the field judging off the killboards, but it also looks like they took much heavier loss's than Axe, while outnumbering them 2 or 3 to 1. Looks like between both Alliances they lost over 130 ships and pods, Axe killing about 80 and bruce killing what looks like almost the entire axe gang of 40, plus some other friendlies of about 10 or 15. Then I thought Goons were suppose to attack BoB this weekend, it seems BoB has destroyed goons and friends again today, over 40 bs's, multiple Capital Ships, more POS's. Does Goons have a chance anymore to take on Delve or has that dream become a nightmare?

DeathGrip	Posted - 2008.03.29 23:25:00 - [7] I was not at this fight but will try to set a few things straight based off of IRC conversations and a phone conversation. Axiom Empire wanted to try out a new fleet tactic and needed to find a fight. They decided that Bruce normally puts up some nice numbers and ran a 62 man Gang into Fountain. They ran into aprox a 110 man Bruce Gang, 50% BS's, 25% T2, 25% cruisers / bc's, plus a few capitals from my understanding. The original intent for the gang did not work as intended due to the lag that is now created with 170 people slugging it out in one system, but over all Axiom and Friends did fairly well and had a lot of fun. Total Damage done was fairly close which in all due respects for being outnumberd as they were puts a smile on my face. Bruce did hold the field at the end, and my guess is Bruce had fun just as Axe had. I think Axe lost about 35 actual ships, friends lost about 15 actual ships, totaling aprox 5bil isk. They killed about 60 ships totaling in about 5bil isk in damage. Bruce collectd the loot. My numbers are most likely off some, but not by enough to really change much. AXE + Digital Renegades had about 60 ships, flying mostly heavy, out for a roam. Moving through Fountain, we heard of about 75 or so BRUCE a couple of jumps ahead with a handful more gathering behind us. We sat on the C-N gate in OOGD and dropped a bubble. BRUCE soon warped into us and the fight was on. It was an awesome in-your-face slugfest that went for around 20-25 minutes solid. At first we could tell we were getting some good kills, but local numbers were going up and not down, as BRUCE reinforcements continued to flow in. As the fight progressed a BRUCE cyno went up and at least one carrier joined the field as well. By the end local was peaking at over 160. AXE+DR simply ran out of numbers and almost our entire gang was lost, but we took down around the same number with us. Lots of GFs afterwards, and all up just a plain fun fight. Cheers BRUCE. o7 /Ben

We killed 1 Command Ship, 15 Capsules, 11 Interceptors, 10 Cruisers, 24 Battleships, 7 Force Recon Ships, 2 Stealth Bombers, 2 Electronic Attack Ships, 2 Assault Ships, 4 Battlecruisers, 1 Covert Ops, 1 Heavy Assault Ship, and 2 Frigates. That's 67 kills, not counting pods--not bad for a 62-man fleet fighting outnumbered 2-to-1!!! Interesting note: Kithaca of BRUCE lost a Rapier and a pod early in the fight, and he shows back up in a carrier just as the fight's winding down. I don't know if that was an emoragecharge or a sign of dedication, but either way, respect for putting your big toy on the line, even though you came in only after it was clear you guys were going to win it. Thanks to DFC and AXE both for putting substantial manpower and support behind this op, and special recognition to DFC for fighting under an AXE FC for the first time and being the embodiment of professional the whole op. We were all having 30-45s module activation, I think if the logistics pilots could have been pin point the fight might have turned out a lot differently :) The Sandwich Attack(tm) worked wonders though.
