Edited by: EvilSyKOSkitzo on 30/03/2008 07:02:26 Hey fellas,
Hope your all having a wonderful Sunday.
Just got online to check things out. Only to see that I was war decced and have lost two labs! Woo ******* hoo!
Was war decced on the 29th at 13:07. War was retracted on the 29th at 15:08. War went live. My two labs where attacked. Through the shields?! Have only two mails for the labs and the POS shields are still at 99%.
And yeah, here I'am. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.
Also, just curious. Could the POS shield have rebuilt back to 99% within this timeframe. (check timestamp)
Anyways, here we go again. - Evil

No, petition it. The shields can not regenerate that fast. And your POS would have entered reinforced mode at 25%.
Also the wardec part seems....not well eighter. Abstraction and Transcendence: Nature, Shintai, and Geometry |

Not sure about the war, but did you have a forcefield password set? If you didn't there would have been no forcefield, so any old fool could walk in and beat up the labs. They got their HP buffed recently but they're still paper thin I would suspect. -------------------- ICE Blueprint Sales FIRST!! -Yipsilanti Pfft. Never such a thing as a "last chance". ;) -Rauth |

Petition it. Any activity where war goes live with less than 24h warning timer is classed as exploit. CCP was supposed to fix it few patches ago last I heard, but if this happened to you then obiovsly those wardeccing you found a workaround.

The war would go live 24 hours after it was declared, and go inactive 2 hours after (even if you retract before it starts you will still have some active time). If you didn't have a password entered they could shoot the labs without touching the POS shield as they wouldn't be protected by the force field which is seperate from the shield.

As been said already, you need to have a forcefield password set, otherwise the forcefield will remain inactive.
Note that you will see a forcefield on your POS regardless of whether you have a password on it or not, but don't let this fool you, the forcefield will only keep others away if there is a password set.

Didn't CCP change it a few patches ago so POSs without a password no longer had a FF? I seem to remember sacking a few POSs like that post-patch. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Automated Influence Map |

My POS shields don't show until I set a password.

Originally if you didn't have one set it still 'showed' as if it was there, but anyone could enter it without needing a password, it was effectively 'open'. They changed it so that without one set it no longer appears at all, and as a side effect you can shoot structures that would have been inside it if it were active.

Exactly. So if his FF was up he had a password and his labs would be protected. So something must be wrong. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Automated Influence Map |

He said the shield was at 99% nothing about the FF. Either it was down or they had the password and perhaps smartbombed them or somesuch.
