Frozen Eddie Johnson wrote:Is there any reason Somer isn't offering blink credit from Shattered Crystal anymore? I've always used them for GTCs, and the link on Blink now says they are not available. Is it a supply issue and will return, or is something else going on?
Was wondering this to, I don't want to sign up for yet another GTC provider if its just a temporary thing.

Somerset Mahm wrote:A DDoS is a network-based attack that tries to overwhelm the server so it can't do anything. It's like what happened to Eve a couple weeks back (but smaller of course).
You do have to wonder as to the intelligence of someone who DDoS attacks a site where the users pretty much subject it to the equivalent of a DDoS in normal operation :O

I'd imagine that a system where your effectively paying money directly to somer for tokens to play would change the gambling laws, auditing, etc. somer has to adhere to a lot. (I'd imagine with the current setup they skirt around most of the issues with money laundering, etc. that proper gambling establishments have to deal with). |

Honestly a bit perplexed as to what all the fuss is about. Would be different if it happened every day. |

SKINE DMZ wrote:So that account wins 1 in every 4 blink she plays, and ridiculous wins, Somer blink is very very fishy.
I do not approve of CCP telling us they have been trustworthy in this sandbox, this is not a game for CCP to endorse players.
I don't understand, there seem to be some employees who really understand the sandbox, and others who just don't have a clue, do you guys have no communication around the office at all?
Looks like that player is buying a large proportion of tickets on every blink they play so they will get high wins but slim profit from it - probably are making more ISK than they are losing though if they are playing it smart just not by a large amount.

Ona Bender wrote:If you buy all the tickets in a blink, you'll win 1 out of every 1 (100%) - that's not the same as winning as many promos in a day as I've won in 3 years - you only get one ticket in a promo.
Best I've had is 2 promo wins inside 24 hours and 10 minutes heh (~7 promo wins that week total). Some funky stuff does happen though - I once won 4 of the same ship in a row on the same number on consecutive blinks. |

Jack Breacher wrote:I wanted to ask how the blink players got the 1.8q achievement. I also participated in it but didnt get the achievement.
I don't seem to have got it - did wonder at the time but I wasn't 100% sure I'd played every single mini-bonk though I thought I had.

Jack Breacher wrote:I dont understand the Plex credit system. When I buy plex from blink, the credits given are treated seperately from the plex I buy or am I selling the plex I buy to blink ?
or maybe i am confusing myself
Basically they buy PLEX from you at a higher price than you can get for it on the market - but to stop people abusing the **** out of the system they limit it so that you can only sell a limited quantity to them based on how often you buy PLEX through their referral link which is where the credit bit comes in.
Its a roundabout way of rewarding people who help support Somer via the referral link.
(Otherwise people would just buy every PLEX on the market and sell to Somer for a personal profit). |
