I had a GF once a little while ago, she did not know she was my GF but close enough for me lol...
But I guess EVE was good because the more I did not call or talk to her, the more she liked me, so I figured it was a good thing I played so much EVE instead of talking to her.
Not that i ever told her I played EVE or anything like that, that would mess the whole delusion that I was cool and just did not have time for her thing going on. *** |

Gank her with an alt and then start up a conversation with her. Try to steer it towards the suggestion that you want to cyber with her. If she goes for it then you may have a problem on your hands. You may guess from this post that I do not typically interact well with women.

Never.. NEVER.. try to pay attention to your pregnant girlfriend and play EVE at the same time. The couch is not a fun place.

For me, it's not a GF but a wife.
And the topic usually comes up when I'm laughing heartily at another bandwagon thread or some other 'EVE related' humor topic that my corp-mates have bought up on voice. The conversation goes as follows:
Wife: What's funny? Me: <insert attempt to explain the need for more fanfare when you finish a rank 5 or above level 5 skill that includes 'Achmed - The Dead Terrorist' saying 'SILENCE! I KILL YOU' or something to that effect> Wife: You know you're a nerd, right? Me: *sigh* GET ME SOME FOOD! Wife: *ignores me completely*

My wife plays as well, on the whole it is awesome. On the down side, when a pvp op doesn't go so well you end up paying for it out of game.

Mine has suggested "Eve" as the potential name of a potential future daughter. Ouch, poor kid.

You could always name her Evelyn, which can be shortened to Evey or Eve.

I got one off them rare ones to. I had to quit eve for 5 months, go clubbing and spend a lot of ISK on fashion. Talk to over 2000 chicks. Have sex with a whole lot of random babes. Party a lot. Pohh it was hard I sayà but in the end it was worth it, I found her.
IÆm just not sure how IÆm going to explain EVE when the addictions for it kick back in. I guess IÆll just have to subvert her with jewellery, it always works. Or IÆll just have to live with the idea of single life again. Man Iv got it tuff, EVE or her. ItÆs sex or pvp. :(

Last year, my wife told me she had been cheating on me. I left her the following week.
When people ask for the story of what happened, they always ask me why I waited so long to leave. You guys will be the first to know the true reason.
Two of my accounts had long skills to train, but the third didn't. Had to train battleship 4 so I could set battleship 5. ---------------------------------------

So? What's 30 seconds of missed training in the scheme of things?

I actually waited until I was 3 months into my relationship before confessing about Eve (which is dubbed my second GF).
She was devastated to say the least. I crossed the line 2 weeks ago on a drunken beer op (the whole point is pvp with a stock of beers and an drunk FC), great fun. What wasn't fun was the explosion of anger half was through the op.
I had run out of beer, so started on the vodka. It just so happens that the PC is next to the bed in our room. She doesn't think drinking at my PC, even though I have 'online buddies drinking too', at 2am on a Thursday is reasonable...
*****.
(so hope she doesn't know my screen name after writing this )

sex > skills
I've lost hours because of passing out after drunken nights with my gf on more than one occasion...
My gf said she'd play eve to humor me, but she says she doesn't want to pay for it. I try to explain to her how fun pirating is, and she just says "meh, I want to play Sims 2"
Who can fathom the female mind? ---- If you see me on the forums, it means that Calvin is inactive or getting me a beer or some such. |

My wife is from a highly religious family so we have had 6 kids so far and called them
Apocalypse Omen Retribution Vengeance Pilgrim Purifier
I hope we don't have more than 50 children as I'm going to have a hard time explaining why we called our kid "Mackinaw".

Edited by: Steakkbone on 04/04/2008 07:34:43 My girl friend once looked at my credit card statements and saw the repeated "EVE Online" charge.
She then asked me if I was paying for an internet p*rn subscription.

I have a member in our corp. that met a young lady in a different corporation. She joined with us after they met then they disappeared for a couple of months apart from the occasional convo to me on msn. They popped back on and asked to rejoin. I was then informed that in their absence they had got together and moved in and then got married. They now have a young baby on the way.
Does happen.

This line has helped on occasion: "At least there's no chance of me meeting any other women playing Eve".
Focus on the positive!

My wife is generally very EVE tolerant. Last night, however, I lost an Omen. I just just picked up a can from a guy and we were going to fight when she walked in the room and started pestering me, pressing random keys and trying to close the lid on the laptop because she wanted to go to bed and she wanted me to come with her.
By the time I had it explained to her that it REALLY wasn't a good time to be pressing random keys and I REALLY needed 2 more minutes, I was in 1/2 armor and I still hadn't even targeted the guy.....
oh well.

That would really, really, really cause me to fall out with my wife in a big way. Really.
I seriously can't imagine her ever trying to even think about doing such a thing, in Eve or otherwise.
I think she was trying to be playful.... and let's face it. when a women is trying to be playful and wants you to come to bed with her it's hardly something to get upset about.....
