Is it possible? I have been trying to do these missions with my ship but every time i get my 200-300k reward i also get a 400k repair bill. So im asking you more experienced people, how to fit my stabber. The setup must be affordable, i am just 15 days old char =P
My current setup is:
Highs: 4x 425mm autocannon, Proton M
Meds: 10mn AB Webifier Shield Extender I
Lows: 3x 400mm crystal carbonide plates
My problem is that i can't survive those pirates, i have to dock once in a nearby station to fix my shields. My ship doesn't deal enough damage, and it takes like 40x4 shots to shoot a single pirate down. Im new to autocannons, i flew an artillery fitted destroyer before. Would an artillery fitting be a solution, picking those pirates from afar?

Hi, it IS possible, as a noob I completed all lvl2 missions including blocade. Most of the time I didn't need to warp out. My only 'tank' was shield booster. When flying stabber You should use your speed. 4x 650 arty + 2x standard missile launchers. Keep your distance (20-25km). If rats're getting close, use AB. I was doing most missions against Angels so shield was the best denefence. Watch for amarr and mercenaires (EMP/THERM dmg). Of course, it can be done MUCH easier with Rupture, but I couldn't stand its ugly look:)

1)Buy Hull repairer 2)Fit after mission 3)Undock 4)Repair 5)Dock again 6)Save Money
And yes, use long-range weapons for missions.
And get a rupture ;)

1. Pick a tank. Don't try and shield tank (badly) and armour tank (badly) at the same time. Tanking in EVE PvE is about resistances, not massive buffers. Even in PvP buffers without resistances is a bad idea. 2. At 15 days old you should still be in that artillery thrasher. There is no way on earth you have the necessary skills to use a cruiser at that point. 3. Once you have been in that Thrasher for another 4 weeks or so and you have Hull Upgrades, Mechanic and Repair Systems 5 THEN you move to a cruiser. 4. Sell that Stabber because they suck at PvE. 5. Buy a Rupture. 6. Fit it like this: [Rupture, Missions] Medium 'Accommodation' Vestment Reconstructer I Armor Thermic Hardener II Armor Kinetic Hardener II Armor Explosive Hardener II Capacitor Power Relay II
10MN Afterburner II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II
650mm Artillery Cannon II, EMP M 650mm Artillery Cannon II, EMP M 650mm Artillery Cannon II, EMP M 650mm Artillery Cannon II, EMP M 'Arbalest' Standard Missile Launcher, Sabretooth Light Missile 'Arbalest' Standard Missile Launcher, Sabretooth Light Missile
[empty rig slot] [empty rig slot] [empty rig slot]
You didn't say what rats you are fighting either so I can't advise you as to what ammo and hardeners to fit. I'm going to assume you are doing Minmatar missions though, in which case use fusion ammo and fit 2x Explosive and 1x Kinetic hardeners vs Angels.

I thank you for your answers, now i'd like to hear what skill either reduces powergrid use / increases powergrid. Because with the setup above i get 1085/989 grid :)
I may lack several skills but i find grinding those level 1 missions very boring. Money isnt always a problem, it is the learning which unfortunately takes quite a bit of time :D

Yup biggest hurdle in EVE to the new starter is actually getting up and running. I tried to be as grid considerate as possible as I have Advanced Weapon Upgrades 5 which reduces grid usage of all weapons by 10%. Engineering is the skill you'll be wanting to get to 5 asap as it increases grid by 25%. Get electronics 5 too as it increases CPU by 25% too.

If you are new to the game don't bother with T2 mods. Train your basic learing, fitting, weapon and space command skills first at an even rate over the board. It pays of better to train 5 skills from 3 to 4 than 1 skill from 4 to 5.
Use named modules, they diffence alot in price, use what you can afford to lose
For lvl 2 use Rupter as recommended, use arty for range, less tanking needed. You do not need to have a cap stable ship so don't over do it with cap mods.
When you bring a cruser to a lvl 2 misson your guns are bigger than 90% of your targets (frigats). My own experience experimenting with webbers, tracking comps and painters is that target painters are the single most effective way of increasing your actual dps. So try to fit one on your ship

A stabber is not a good ship for a 15 day character to run missions in. Save up and buy a Rupture, it's a much tougher ship with better bonuses.
IIRC I used to run it with 3 Large Shield Extender in the mids along with shield cap relays in the lows when I was starting out. USe EFT ( EVE fitting tool ) to check you can fit a setup for your skills.
