Honestly, I'm not gonna list what alliances I think are "teh best", just the ones I respect, in no particular order. (and im not gonna list any from smashkill, cuz thats kinda bias)
Tri - Anyone who does not respect their skill, will learn to very quickly
BoB - Although they have fallen greatly from what they once had, they are still a formidable foe
RA/SDG - They are ruthless, and one can never rule out any possible tactic that they may use
MC - Although there was some issues for them in Geminate, I still fear these guys
A few I kinda have issues with considering "teh best" (and i am SO gonna be flamed for these):
Goons - For the most part, their strategy seems to be just using overwhelming numbers. Whether or not this is just out of lack of skill, or because they just find it to be effective, I don't know.
KoS, AAA, IAC, etc. - Sorry guys, but I have never fought against you, and thus I have no idea how good you guys are.

Overwhelming numbers? Do you honestly think the entire alliance (plus our allies) show up to a fight? If this is the case you are sadly mistaken, and the truth of the matter ****s all over the anti-Goon propaganda on CAOD.
I am only reporting what I have heard. For the most part I usually classify goons under the same category as the "unknowns". There are many many reports of goons using massive numbers of small ships. Which makes sense considering the enormity of their alliance. And all of your alliance showing up wouldn't win the battle.... it would just crash the node....
