Well after a quick search of the forums I found no topics regarding this, so new topic ahoy!
Has/does anyone run EVE on a EEE PC? (www.asus.com)
I'm getting the 4G WinXP version and throwing 2gb of RAM in it, for reference. Obviously will be installing EVE on an SD card/USB drive due to space restrictions.
I'm hoping that at the least, I'll be able to log in and change skills, if not AFK travel through empire.
Comments/suggestions/firsthand experience?

edit
It seems that the screen resolution of the EEE is 800x480, meaning any game run must support that resolution.
Hi
Got EVE running on an EEE too here. But since the "Boost Patch" I only geht 4 frames/second or less in space. Before it was 16 fps running at 630 MHz and Classic Client.
Hopefully CPP can fix the FPS problem soon as it persists on many other computers too!

So you have gotten it to run on an EEEpc. And being able to undock means it runs well enough to change skills, etc.. Awesome, that's what I wanted to hear, thanks!

Edited by: Jillius on 17/04/2008 06:06:17 I am getting 21 fps in station and 16 fps outside. 2 gb memory and overclocked to 900mhz installed on a 16gb class 6 sd card. Very nice!
Check out. www.eeeuser.com

I have same spec as OP and it runs pretty well. Certainly well enough for changing skills and managing market orders. I might think twice before running through 0.0 though! A couple of minor graphical glitches but fonts are all prefectly legible. |
