it all started last saturday...
it had been a slow really boring ... just jumping from belt to belt in my scorpion looking for some action..
had only gotten small rats ( typical 0.4 rats) so i was getting kinda bored.... really bored and i was nearly out of Cruisemissiles so i was kinda "okey ONE more belt then home" when i warp in .... a little lag... look around see some rats thinks hmm crappy rats... then i see the "Strenght and Honor Corp" Armageddon 18km under me... he was hunting the rats , so i began.. hmmm do i have enough Cruises to get him ?.. will he harm my ship?
but in the end i decided to give a try i could always "Redeploy" my ship to another belt 
so i targeted him, warpscrambled him and started to mwd down to him i tought now he will run or start to fire on me ... fired up the jammers on him and fired all i got at him.... to my surprise he continued to attack the Rats  and his drones where still in his dronebay..
Just as his shields went down i ran out of cruises 
and i ran out of cap.... so i had to turn the jammers off..
and STILL he dident shoot back and still no drones in sight  and his MWD was not activated
he was slowly tying to get away at normal speed still with me firing my 425mm.s at him slowly destroying his battleship so finaly the geddon started to explode and i dident care off his pod as it warped to safety so i took a look in the can left after the explotion and to my wondering found among others :
3X Warpcore stabliazers unpacked
1x MWD
and he had em installed but dident try to run or just simply warp out... or just relaese his drones and fire those tachyons at me but no....
he simply chosed to sit back and watch his precius battleship get blown to kingdome come
does a guy like that deserve to fly a battleship ?
Note * Yes this is a Alt and the kill wasent with thise char
nice loot tough 
I mean, guys are saying that sometimes no means yes, and honestly, sometimes it does. But I don't think for one second that any guy who's pulled himself off a crying woman has been mistaken for one minute about what she wanted. |

prob was a bug made his stuff be offline or something or he was crashing or something, sounds like you got lucky and he went down due to other problems...beucase he would have warped or soemthing. If he had a MWD he probabaly would have used it, unless the stupid bug that turns your mods off for you when you don't ask hit him.
oh and Viceroy is right, your lame for posting this way :D

I'm impressed, and I'm sure all these evil pirates remember their first kill and are still very proud of it, no matter how they killed.
To those people I would like to say that everybody has to start somewhere and some time. Not everybody has started EVE at the same time and its unfair to expect from every player they uphold your standard of experience. It won't hurt to praise someone for a change.

I sort of agree with this...
I mean..this kill may have been a lame kill..
But regardless of that, it may have aswell been a good fight on somewhat equal grounds. Although a scorp VS a arma cant realyl be considered an equal fight unless the arma pilot is the paranoid type who fits sensorupgrades at all times ;).
I don't think that 'nubs should not fly bships' is 100% justified. Alot of 'newbs' (to combat) fly battleships. They use them as miningrigs. This is just how EVE is designed though...
The lvl 2 battlehsips are just the best mining riggs in the game and thats the truth. Maybe it would be better if those dedicated miners had some dedicated ships to mine in (non or light combat type).
As it is now though. Those who wish to get the most out of their time mining need a battleship, resulting out of this is very bad combatpilots flying very expensive ships and getting killed in very stupid ways..;like this one.
I don't think the threadposter deserves the flames that have been shot at him. He saw another bship, took his chances and attacked it (this fight could have ended in pieces of scattered scorpion lets nto forget that).
Although maybe adding insult to injury by posting the utter lameness in which someone got merrily nuked under the guise of an alt may not have been the best thing to do :P

It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

DOH! made a small mistake the Corp was "SH BROTHERHOOD" 
no he was NOT afk /crashed talked to him in local
(cant find the chatlog)

Our corp has given new/newr corp members armagedons, and yes i think we lost 2 due to the new players stupid actions, generally the new players dont aquire the BS theselves, the corp does, so its not the game mechanics tbh, just the fact that another 4-6 people mining like hell to get them that ship, then they go off and lose it thinking their invincible.

i have to agree here. I've been comming across some really slow minded players in Battleships, I mean don't get me wrong i do pleasure a kill but I take no plaesure in killing players like this.

I know a guy (not a PIE member) who last week died in an Apoc to a Blackbird. ALthough this guy had been playing the game since day one he had never got into any PvP.
When the BlackBird locked him he just panicked. Even though it takes a BB a LONG time to down an APOC (in fact its not even possible if the APOC is set up properly) the guy never thought to tell his corp and other friends who were all close by that he was under attack and who would probably have rescued him in time...
He said afterwards that his hands were shaking...
Rabbit in headlights syndrome.
So I guess some people just aint cut out for PvP... or need to go and get some practice in frigates before they fly their battleships around dangerous areas...

I agree with this whole heartedly - our last op saw an Apoc and a Dominix fall to a handfull of frigs/cruisers... They never had a chance. Why? Because they were alone.
NOTE TO ALL n00bs (myself included): Never, EVER fly in 0.0 space alone in a BS (unless you're fishing)
