Nothing is binding in these forums until the seller confirmed, but it is good to see you tried to buy this character before being told it was still available. I already spoke to the seller and agreed to the buyout in game. He then had to leave, and so be it. Sending isk to random people does not mean you are entitled to a character if they did not agree to the sale, nor is that covered in the rules here. And to be clear, my offer is 5.5 billion since I told him at the time 5 billion was way too cheap.

However, you would be DUMB to send isk without confirmation of a buyout being accepted by the seller. sending an evemail without a response from seller does not constitute an automatic send-isk- get-character guarantee. Thats why there are threads, so that correspondence can be publicly viewed and recorded. If you really are a veteran character trader, learn to use common courtesy and fair judgement. to the Seller: take the highest buyout; you can always notify the other party that they have been out bought, to see if they want to go higher to compete; you don't always have to be set to sell on your listed buyout price.

And yes, as a trader (look at my prior posts, buys, etc. ) you jump on good deals, as character scamming is very much watched by CCP. So keeping ISk for a character listing and not sending the character would certainly qualify, my ISk is not at risk. They do not have to sell me the character and they can relist, or sell to a higher bidder. I would honor my own buy out as my game style has a set of rules I follow, and a few ISK more means little. If the seller decides to change their mind, then they can just send my ISK back. Posters please just bid higher if you want this toon, rather than make comments regarding my person decision to buy this character. The seller will make their personal choice and what is DUMB. Really, why all the drama? I've petiioned CCP to moderate. thank you.

I think the person who is selling this char - has the right to think that the 5 bil you sent him/her is a gift for being so awesome and nice since nothing was agreed to, sept for some random sending 5 bil... now if the seller was smart he/she could make 10 bil for legitimately selling the char for 5 bil and taking the smart asses 5 bils gift. i would love to see the response from CCP when you go crying for your isk back. CCP should take note of your post and all players who have commented in this thread regarding benefiting from fraud. EDIT: CCP said Account was hacked and they returned my ISK..
