Fine, I'll bite: what do Gallente ships do well nowadays?
Tanking? Well, no. Active armor tanking bonus is utter crap.
Mobility? Well, no, flying bricks.
EW? No. Just... no. (Boost damp-specced ships!)
Drones? Hm, yeah, this works - Dominix and Ishtar are good. Ishkur is as ok as an AF can be, but alas, Vexor is less useful than Arbitrator, Myrmidon is not that hot, and Eos is hopeless. Not much to write home about.
Sniping? No. Megathron does it ok if you cannot fly other races' BSs, but it doesn't do it well.
Blasters, balls-to-the-wall pure damage? Well... no. The flagship of that, Megathron, loses to n00b buffer-tanked torp Raven, highly-skilled Typhoon and about ties with Armageddon - might win an 1-vs-1 against one but is much, much less useful in gangs. The need to move the whole ship next to target to get the damage to bear is too much, and on top of that, it doesn't even do more damage than the other listed BSs. This holds for BSs and BCs. For cruisers and smaller, blasters work reasonably well, but they are still very difficult to use against competent opponents.
Gallente do many things ok, but they don't really shine at anything, and in some ways, they really, really have problems.
no sir, i believe *you* lose to noob buffer tanked ravens -_-' you also seem to gloss over the fact that the domi and ishtar arent the *only* ships that have nice drone bays. in fact, most of the gall lineup gets *very* generous drone bays.
I also think you'll find it hard to find someone to back you claim up that gall BC's are sub par.
Then you proceed to hint at the fact that armor tanking isint viable. How's about you go and try and break a decent hyperions tank. yes please. Not to mention it can tank all of this * and * fit necessary tackle.

the only thing even remotely correct about that post is a nudge for Damps. the rest is rubbish
