Hey guys,
I present to you my first real vid w/ decent editing software. It's a small gang or no gang low-sec and 0.0 vid. If I have time to re-render and it is asked I will try to put up an .mkv file using auto-encoder. It's high res 1280x1024 w/ classic graphics...next vid will be 1680x1050 w/ premium that I produce. Thanks as always to Chribba for hosting! I kept effects out of it w/ Vegas(mainly because I had to re-do the whole thing over from Premiere) so it's just fights, transitions, and real-time battle reports in most scenes.

Under the text field in the post page, there's the bold, italic, etc, buttons, 5th one from the left has a little globe. click it, paste the url, type in what you want the link to look like, done. Also it can convert highlighted text to a link. If you quote my above post you can see the proper link format.
Almost done with a new movie btw, with bigger ships and sentry guns

Upon further review and finally getting the full thing downloaded, excellent movie. Action is excellent (especially the first fight), and it's nice to see someone other than me abusing the crap out of heat and breaking modules left and right 
The titles and commentary could be done a bit cleaner, instead of constantly fading to black screens. Editing takes a lot of work and practice, though, so it's not a very big deal

Haha..yeah sometimes i go for isk value..and honestly 4 of the 5 of them would've been jammed so I chose either a pest or claymore to kill expecting them to jump. Problem was my graphics card got shot and all targets locked looked like meshed square bit-like blobs and the racials weren't on the right targets.. got it sorted at the end you can see only the pest was unjammed, but ignored my bs's mwd running and no cap injector or overload for much of my destruction :(

Almost comical to watch how fast my Rook melted. On the way to that fight I commented that I'd been looking for an excuse to get it blown up. Who knew I was so literal.

I used up all decent footage and now have a new better 22" wide screen and upgraded graphics package...so the next video should look even better *when i get some footage*.. it will be named
stickin' it 2aridia x2 obviously LOL.
And yes the shield domi is dead i frapsed it's destruction w/ my main wingman on it's last day of insurance..I tried losing it sooo many times, tank wasn't strong enough to fight solo and never died putting out 1150 dps when in a gang :(.

Hi,
first off: I have neither published any video myself nor am I very into editing videos, but I have watched quite a few (if not 90%) of those posted during the last year, so I think I might as well give you some feedback.
If I'd have to rate this video, I'd give it a 5/10 at most.
Please note, that the following list mainly is due to my personal likes and dislikes.
Pros:
- Good use of overheat, you're definitely not a bad pilot
- No pimp-editing, you kept it very clear and one could follow what you were doing
- Good playback speed. Not too fast to realoze everything, not too boring.
- adequate music
- Quality
Cons:
- Too much leetyness. As said, one of my personal dislikes. Writing w/ instead of with, stickin' with apostrophes, 1337-letters in your charname and compositions like "2aridia" may be cool if you are that kind of person. But then you could as well have used some mean kind of gangstarap. (Ref: We took the North, **** Alliance)
- Far too many ganks. Please consider leaving out beltganks and fights where you don't really kill anything but just barely escape. Except for the first one in the Brutix. That was nice even though you only got the rapier (due to it's own clumsyness, however...)
- Also, there are several fights where you have a clear advantage over your opponent and end up killing one Nighthawk (and one Bs jumping into highsec). Please think about leaving out such fights. Of course it is nice to see someone suiciding into Empire, but considering that you had a falcon @ 100+ and one BS (+ Sentries) attacking a group of 3 you couldn't have lost that one from the beginning. Personally, I would have left it out.
- From my point of view you used some bad setups: Megathrons without Capboosters, Shield tanked Dominixes. Those are absolutely not great at all... I'd only use the Megathronsetup if I EXACTLY knew that my enemy had NO Neutralizers whatsoever and the dps-wise tank on that XL-SB Domi can be surpassed by armortanks without sacrificing any damage. While we could go into a fitting discussion at this point, I'd rather leave it out, but feel free to correct me
- A bit more coldbloodness in several fights could have helped a lot. You forget to turn on guns (5 of 7 activated), forget to turn off MWDs (especially nasty when you dont have a capbooster), get caught in stations (fireing with Antimatter @ 13k). As mentioned I don't consider you a bad pilot at all, but some of those things just made my eyes bleed. Of course such things happen to everyone and quite, but then again I wouldn't publicate that footage. Maybe if something else happened that was absolutely ub0r.
So please ponder a bit about my feedback and I'm looking forward to your next video

reply to the "back-seat driver" above :).
1) I play for fun and fight for fun..not what's best and why.
2) I've never played any other MMO and didn't know 1337 existed or what it meant when people made fun of my name. My name is simply text or aim shorthand (#'s for words not other letters) and it's too late to ever change it. 2aridia is a pun on my name which yes I admitted sucks but as stated above nothing i can do nothing at this point. I use w/ because it's shorter to not take up so much space on the screen as it's not a key or important word to understanding what is going on.
3) Question: Have you ever tried to pvp outnumbered w/ 2 monitors, 1 (buggy graphics card as stated in the vid) 2 keyboards and 2 mice in front of you before? All while leading gang on voice coms and trying to have a decent angle for footage of the fight for viewers (especially picky ones like yourself)? Also with a jammer that can't see the target ships to assign jams? sorry I forgot the mwd (and yes i had a cap booster on that domi)!
4) next off...i interchange a medium cap booster for the eccm if needed, an 1100 dps mega that can't lock is worthless as much as one w/ no cap. In this fight it was needed...why? Because I knew they had a rook...and later I knew they had one cloaked scorpion and the rook pilot back in local in an unknown ship. The shield domi is/was fun, and with my jamming support is very easily underestimated and overpowering (owned it for at least a year and wanted it to die). And I know long term the armor domi is better but as you witnessed if i spent a hair less cap tanking and more gun firing and over loading my shield domi would've popped my wingmans typical Armor tank and neut setup. You, while nit-picking about everything in my vid didn't notice how i never took the 800's out of the can in the shield domi, so the last set only loaded 2...and right before i popped it had 2 secs of reload started which would've given me more cap to hold out. Neut domi's are no fun to watch especially if you team them up with a falcon. "dps-wise tank on that XL-SB Domi can be surpassed by armortanks without sacrificing any damage.Not with out putting 80M of Ancillery' Routers on a "for fun" ship
5) Dont' think I ever left my mwd' running unnecessarily on the mega, and so I bumped off a base with a sig bigger than some systems. Antimatter @ 1100 dps from 13km with falloff hits better than null does for 10 secs which is not at all because I'd have to reload as they all deaggroed and docked. Or did you not notice how 4 of the 5 were jammed and already beggining into a de-aggro timer?
6) The first fight wasn't a belt gank. Exa alliance is an alliance we were proud to fight while in club bear and they always brought a fun fight (sometimes too much blob). They acknowledge I'm in system and bring in pvp fit ships in a decent gang. The Fleet stabber engages me first, and the only thing that saves me is that I waited for them to get their 4 man gang together @ 50 in the belt and poor coordination left their 2 heavy hitters @ 0 in the belt ( sorry for the 1337 @ signs above). Any "gank" scenes I flew through as part of the storyline of finally getting home and blowing stuff up. Only one I went into detail of more than 15 secs of footage was the guy that repeatedly decides to go AFK which is just plain funny.
(n^2) "So please ponder a bit about my feedback", so as I'm pvp'ing I will ponder that Willington is gonna watch my vid and point out all the Steven Spielberg flaws in the editing, grammar, my name, and maybe this feedback will cause me to never forget to turn on a module again, or maybe fly around the base duh! As the last line in my post says "and many times I am controlling 2 acct's/PC's so occassionally module management suffers that i notice myself afterwards."
I realize I'm a bit hypocritical in the sense of saying I appreciate feedback, but yours is overboard. U sir R as Lame as ur post! LOL
