i think apart from bruce, it's just everyone around them.. blue lists always tend to be quite boring.... i'd prefer to see lists of ppl they are actively hunting..

Yes, yes...it's always great sport to point and laugh...not very original...or intelligent...but good sport, I'm sure.
If you truly have any interest to see who we're shooting, you need only look at our killboard which is quite public. If you think we have everyone around us blue, then you're very misinformed or just talking out of your ass for your own personal agenda.
Most of what remains of our blue list are small entities who are blue to us by the request of others. The larger entities are all long-standing relationships that go back years. I doubt seriously our blue list is as large as many of the other larger entities in this game. Additionally, our red list is much, much larger (150+) and contains a veritable "who's who" of "PVP alliances."
So point and laugh if that's what gets it done for you people. It really doesn't matter.

Our Red Alliance standings go back to the formation of RAWR. Our Goon standings obviously did not. They reset us and that's perfectly fine.

Good luck with the reset.
Although I would probably reset RA if placed in the same position, because the standings likely came about from last year's Coalition banding. Now it looks like you're keeping it there for posterity only, even though it serves you no practical or strategic benefits. Now they're probably going to dump you first.
The same can be said of the drone region alliances you have on there, some of which are either disintegrating (Rule of Three) or busy being massive carebears (everyone else).

You may be correct about RA. It wouldn't surprise me. As I mentioned earlier, it's a long-standing relationship which we really haven't seen any reason to take the step of ending. We don't actively cooperate but there is contact from time to time. Tey do their thing, we do ours.
With regard to some of the other relationships, they aren't really about mutual protection. Some of them are simply business deals. I suspect we are not alone in having those, either.
RAWR sits astride one of the gateways to the North and attempts to eke out a living in one of EVE's crappiest regions in terms of resources. We get plenty of action and I don't feel we need to apologize to anyone for having a few friends or to justify having a modest blue list.

so basically all you did was set goons to red but you cant say specifically in a post "we are setting goonies to red" because they would see it as "woohoo shooty-shooty time" right so instead you list same blues you had for a very very long time and omits the goons.

We haven't reset Goons. Goons reset us a week or so ago and then we reset at that time with no hard feelings. They are neutral not red. They are a good group of players and we wish them well.
With the collapsing of the Coalition, all the parties involved have undergone standings resets as we are no longer in the same area of conflict. Its really not all that hard to understand. We cleared off over 30 NAPS we had with alliances fighting in the south and simply wished to give everyone fair warning that we were doing it.
Our relationship with RA goes back to the Five War in the south and the north and even beyond that going back to our Fountain days. Im sure our diplos will talk to RA and confirm if they want to keep standings or not.
Basically, the people on our list are our closest freinds and the people that have stood up with us over time. Im sure there will be some more removed as time goes on, but we remain loyal to our friends that have shown their will to fight and their trustworthiness over the years. I wish I could have said the same about Insurgency, as they were once part of this trust and freindship. But things change. Tis the way of Eve!

Its not a re-set if you keep over 70% of your list now is it.
A re-set used to be something worth posting about, its when someone with balls littraly re-sets everyone friend or foe and says "lets have it then", if your not posting a display of your balls, dont waist peoples time with it, we dont need to know every time you kick the renter corps off your list and decide your not best freinds for ever with the south pets anymore.

Actually i wasnt particularly pointing/laughing about the blue list.. it is pretty common for space holding alliances to be on reasonible terms with it neighbours..
I guess i could look up your kb, but you are correct, i'm not that interested.. if it's not something important enough to have heard, then i'm not going chasing the info..

It's not really the length of list that matters, but quantity. And honestly, apart from tri & phalanx, I don't see much more targets to shoot for MM.
Perhaps note of resetting standings with goons would be better.

More then 30 Blues and probably closer to 50 were removed from our NAP list, mostly organizations from the southern coalition vs the BOB war and several smaller alliances in the north that either were no longer there or to small to worry about. This list is still twice as small as our 2006-2007 list and includes close freinds that have been staunch, loyal allies for over 2 years. And yes its still smaller then BOBs list and will probably remain this way for a long time now. |
