You might do better to drop the CPU, the launcher and the PG rig, and fit another CCC, another MFS and a heavy or assault launcher - with decent missile skills (which it looks like you have) heavies will reach about 70km and lights about 40 - and either are much better against the small stuff. It might even be a good idea to drop one of the guns for another launcher.
Downsizing the launcher will probably save enough fitting to get the other stuff on. A rule of thumb I've seen is that if you are putting on fitting modules (to say nothing of rigs!) just for fitting, then something is wrong. PDS II might be an exception here, as they help you with four different things. Higher shield and better shield recharge means just that little bit longer before you have to switch on the reppers. Better cap and cap recharge just have to help anyone!
DCU II might be better replaced with a decent named to save some CPU.
Just my 0.02 isk. I have never actually flown a Navy Mega, but experience with a stock Megathron ought to count for something?
Another possibility is to sell the Navythron and buy a Kronos, although admittedly these days that is an expensive option - and check the skill requirements first.

Only 1 MFS? lose the DCU.
Where's the afterburner? Keeping range is important with those fantastic rails you have there :)
Lots of stuff you could make faction to improve CPU usage :) -- You can't do that with a Planet. |

I replaced the third Cap Recharger II with an 100mn AB II. I replaced the cruise launcher with an assault launcher. Powergrid rig is not on yet.
Still doesn't all fit. Need the CPU upgrade and a little powergrid.
I have concluded that I will finish AWU V (75% complete). I could fly a Kronos then but they are TOO EXPENSIVE.
I really want to keep the 7x 425mm IIs and have a serious tank but I can't see a way around using a CPU mod and a PG mod/rig. |

Are you using the tech-II equivalent 16 CPU faction hardners? (Amarr Navy, Ammatar Navy, Dark Blood, Gallente Navy, Khanid Navy, Shadow Serpentis, True Sansha) They save you 20 CPU per hardener over plain t2, and are dirt cheap (10-15m per hardener). That alone should help you a LOT CPU-wise, as that's 80 extra CPU given your 4 hardeners. If you're still slightly short, maybe consider a CPU implant?
Also, maybe consider using something like 4x Garde/Warden sentries, 5x Hobgoblin. You get the extra drone damage at decent range with no travel time ... |

Ya, that last CCC would help - maybe even let you drop the CPR :)
As far as the tank: Angels do NOT do even damage. In general, they do something like 72% EXP, 17% kinetic, then w/e their batteries shoot; maybe 11-ish % EM and thermic rarely. Mainly though, you're worried about the exp. Using the numbers given above, you're only tanking 300 dps from the avg angel cartel mission. I'd personally go with something like 3 exp hardeners and a kinetic ;) ---- WTB Armor Nerf Hardener II, 10^100 isk OBO |

IMO, faction ships should have faction modules.
It's easy to fit a capstable ship with gallent 425's, a drone link augmentation, and the usual tank / cap rechargers.
Thing is, I need a EFT 'all lvl5' warrior to fit it, and get 367 DPS, where I can get 327 DPS with my current (limited) skills on a normal Mega, and have the same tank.
The Navy ships aren't that good IMO unless fitted with faction gear, and you *really* want a murauder instead, probably with T2 stuff which will cost (in the end) about the same.

2 things:
1) 350mm guns will undoubtably allow me to fit stuff without pds/cpu upgrade - I hope they do decent damage over 425mm
2) I prefer T2 because of the extra damage bonus - do you think its worth it over the faction guns? Who's the rudest of them all! |

I have to admit I went from a Navy Mega to a Kronos and haven't looked back.
Superior tank... superior DPS... and I cna salvage comfortably on the go.
If you can, adjust your traiing plan to get yourself into a Marauder. |

The damage difference in raw DPS is not substantially different. I find the 350mm rails superior because they have better tracking. So, even if the raw DPS is lower, you get more hits. I prefer the faction guns to Tech II because they use less cap - which makes a completely permarunning setup possible. |

I generally fit 350s for missions. It's rare that you need the kind of range that you get from the 425s, the damage output is similar, especially when you consdier the better tracking on the 350s, and they are much easier to fit.
As for faction guns vs. T2, it's a tossup. At Large Railgun Specialization III your T2 guns will do more damage than faction guns but the faction guns are easier to fit and use less cap. The T2 guns are likely going to be far less expensive than the faction guns. Both are good, so choose according ot your wallet size. |

Than your Fitting is wrong from the scratch because it lacks DPS.
7x 425er II 2x Tracking Comps, Cap Recharger II, Faction AB(depends on your wallet) Medium Repper, 2 Energiced Membrans(or Factionhardner), TS ANP(or better they are cheap), CPR, 3x MFS(Faction prefered)
4x Sentrys, 5 Light Drones of choice
With Implants you can bring in even a Drone Link(extremly usefull for the Sentrys).
About 800 DPS at 50km(including Sentrys).
Fitting in action looks something like this: Navy Mega Missionrun
Kronos offers a better Tank with the same Number of damagemods, Damage and Time to kill everything in a Mission is not realy better, because you trade one Gun for one Sentry. ---- Nerf Tank - Boost Gank!
