yup, i got the same problem, jumped out of a gate in abudban and now i'm stuck in "tuning in on subspace frequency". It's the same every time i log in

Same problem, it happened to me as I was jumping through a new gate. The new gates seem to be out of whack. Mine was a jump from Nonni to Yulai...and somewhere along there it locked...in the jump coming into Niyabainen -> Kemerk

after reboot still have the black screen of death .
i down loaded new ati drivers no help.
still black screen after character selection.

Same problem here black screen in station. When I alt+tab i can see the inside of station for a split second then when I come back it's all black again still.

there are alot us of experienceing this ... i suggest posting your operating system and video card , to see if we have a common culprit .

don't know if it solves most off the problems but here is what I did and it made me login without a problem:
- open cache folder and delete the 3 macho***.dat files
- open the ini file and remove everything in it, save it and close it
- relaunch eve

Well, after a day of waiting, I can now log one character in out of 6, unfortunately, my least played character. All the others just get a black screen irrespective of how long I try and leave them logged in.
Even with the one character I can log in I can't see anyone elses chat in either corp chat or any of the channels I log in to :(
At this rate, CCP will be will be receiving a cancellation or two.
Would be nice if my emails were replied to

I now have the same problem.. just tried undocking from a staion, it said it was already undocking, tried logging back in after i got a black screen since i thought it timed out/crashed, now i cant log back in to my only character..

Same problem here, screen went black near a jumpgate (not jumping yet) It said server node gone offline.
Now I can't login, managed it once docked to a station and ever since nothing but error messages sometimes 2.
I am beginning to think CCp should get into plumming supplies or something similar as an industry, give up MMO's Totally.
I am not even gonna say what i think about Dev's because i will probably get banned. Suffice to say, if they were working for me along with my 200 odd programmers, they would have been out of the door long ago, without any severance and a guarantee no other company i do business with will ever hire them...
And whoever "person" that designed the CCP network and cluster (do they even have one?) wouldn't have gotten a job in the first place. Please, get a dictionary and lookup such words as, "redundancy", "troubleshooting", "Bandwith" Dedicated Backup connectivity, Dedicated Vsat Link's etc...
Just my 2 Cents.

Lemme followup with patch testing, QA, release followup and rollback, network monitoring, etc etc.
I DO releases for another MMO out there that runs Python, and even my lazy ass puts out better quality than what I've seen with this EVE game. It has got to be the most horridly run MMO out there.
I sure some of the developers might work hard, but in the END, it's the SHOW! If the SHOW sucks, EVERYTHING sucks. If you can't maintain a quality SHOW experience for the user, give it up.
In the few days I've been playing this EVE, I haven't seen a complete problem less 24 hour day where I can log in and not get the black screen of nothing. BS-ON!
The server even dies again 2 hours before the announced 12:00GMT maintenance time. If this is the fault of Stackless Python, you guys should Really consider using something less buggy. |
