Bemmi Kummid	Posted - 2008.04.16 08:15:00 - [1] Because NPC-s don't sell shuttles anymore trit prices will be skyrocketing. And quess who's mining veldspar in empire with capital ships? Therefore all ISK goes to chribba's wallet. Shuttles were removed because Chribba wanted more ISK!

The bad part here is that we will no more have 'shuttles anywhere' option, it's a bit crap. You do not know of Chribba, Lord of the Veldspar? He roams the skies in his mighty Veldnaught, constantly searching for the mineral that drives him. Many pilots try to find him in order to see the wonder that is Chribba and his Veldnaught. Also did you know that the worship of Chribba is illegal in all 4 Empires because of the amount of Velspar related injuries it causes. On a more serious note Chribba runs www.eve-files.com and www.eve-search.com, and is one of the few people with capitals in high sec from the brief time they could be built there. His veldnaught is an Amarr dreadnaught that he uses to mine Veldspar.

As long as he doesn't move his cap(s?) outside of Amarr then he can keep it in high-sec, since you need to go through a gate for the update to take effect and have your ship bumped to low-sec. That's what I understand about it anyway.

From what I understand when they were first introduced the worked the same as now, except for the fact that the arrays needed to build them could be anchored in high sec, and so people started to build them in high sec. After a short while CCP changed it so the arrays couldn't be anchored in high sec, and so the capitals already in high sec were left with 2 choices. Either jump to low sec(if they were within range of course), or stay in high sec forever. Don't think they can use weapons in high sec though.

I can only assume that CCP didn't mention it so as to not spark panic buying and hoarding of shuttles, thus already weakening the now player-based shuttle market.
