Actually there's an interesting big on their Cedega site saying that they will have a beta ready on June 1st with Shader Model 3.0 support. Now Cedega is only for Linux and as I've mentioned earlier SM3.0 support is much farther along on Linux than Mac OS X on the main WINE tree, so this doesn't necessarily mean that they have SM3.0 working for the Mac yet, but given the that both the Mac and Linux editions use the same code base, my assumption is that they are close if not already at the point where SM3.0 works on the Mac.
Now if EVE Premium is working or is as buggy as Classic was on its release is anyone's guess.

I'm not so much downed by not having a premium client, but i am rather ill affected by the lack of communication from the devs side. All this fuzz could have been easily avoided with "we don't know" or something....SOMETHING. Whoever is the community manager...should get less pay :)

It's really bad....a complete new expansion is ready for release in a few weeks and the Mac users still have the Classic content. When can we expect the new shiny universe?
OT: But it's funny to see, that EA has the same problems with their "Mac Games". It's not that easy to "port" a DirectX infected game to other systems.

So, I guess we won't be seeing a Premium client then... I didn't really see any updates that would be aimed at macintosh users performance issues. Correct if I'm wrong.

I tried Vendetta for awhileà it has an even slower release schedule than EVE. Great community though.

I used to play Vendetta, but it being much smaller than eve it got boring fast... but the community was great (including the devs, they actually talked with you!).

Is there a chance that the EvE guys know the existence of "Swiftshader" from transgaming ? Is there a chance the EvE guys know the benefit of using this technology ? I my mind this is the Answer for a good port of the premium content in the mac client.
Anyway... Fed up with booting in windows to decently play the game as it has to be played today. |

Yes i am getting kind of fed up with peoples views on apple macs , 80% of all computers sold over ú1000 are macs so **** everyone who said macs are crap lol and why should pc's get premium while macs don't , pc owners are just as good as us , if not worse :P

I didn't get an 8800 with my iMac to be playing sub-standard eve CCP, so in agreement with Ram, please! please! please!
Have to use bootcamp and... windows whenever I play eve, just can't stand the low graphics lol.
