I been looking at AoC for a while, will try it probably....but what class ? no idea :) will decide when i get to char creation like i always do ;).

Conan is actually one of the rare franchises that won't suffer from "everyone rolls the uber class" syndrome. That is, because the *must have* class (the barbarian) is meant to be common as muck anyway.

Wth, he played the barbarian role to date. No one can match that. Ironically the greatest asset was that he could barely speak english so his dialogue is short and to the point.
The John Muilus Conan was great.
Oh, and Stygian all the way, I'm looking at the Necro and Herald of Xotli.
Ironically, Conan is working with a directional shield system I always felt should have been in this game so direction and placement matters. While I feel the way it's implemented in Conan is a bit iffy, it would be better in this game.
You need to learn the meaning of "Ironic"

I doubt I'll ever get a machine to run it on but the following would be my choices:
The class I want:
Assasin
Sounds good to grief players and will surely be a decent PvP-class, unless the combat-system cripples their awesomeness.
The alternate class I'd pick in case all kiddies roll Assasins:
Demonologist
Damage-casters just sound like "needs skill", which hopefully makes them decent PvP-chars if handled correctly.
A char I need for RP-purposes:
Dark Templar
Sounds like "warlock" to me. Endless hours of "/me devours your soul"-like chat guaranteed.
The class I'll end up with because I suck so much:
Priest of Mitra
There's nothing more exciting than playing a class that forces you to watch a few health-bars and klick on them every once in a while.
Classes I hope I never end up with are:
Conqueror
Reminds me of a bard. Every time I played a bard it horribly sucked, except in A Bard's Tale in which they were downright awesome.
Ranger
Sounds boring and reminds me of elves with bows. Yep, elves. And kids ganking you from range and then bragging about it. Don't want that.
Guardian
Can you say PvE-tank? Sounds like a triple-rep faction-fitted Hyperion with Nos instead of guns.
I guess no one cared but I just had to write it down somewhere.

Apparantly this is gonna be one of the most hated and targeted classes come end game with players sieging other players cities and all that. It will also be one of the most valuable if defending a city or battlement. Range is king, its the same in any game. Imagine being in an intense melee outside the gates and some player is shooting you in the ass with arrows from way up high in a tower grrrr!
The difference here between wow hunters and aoc rangers is that if you play a ranger you actually need manual skill to hit people.
I'm gonna choose a conquerer on a pvp-rp server when it's released.

The downside is no friendly fire, there will just be massive barrages and people dying left right and center, screw aiming.
