I'm having trouble with the level II mission recon 3/3. I was able to do the first 2 parts in a shuttle, but in the third one, I got blown up. I tried again in my Caracal, but I suddenly went from half shields to structure so I was forced to warp. What do I have to do to beat this mission? Thanks in advance!

I run the level 4 version in my battleship with an omnitank and an AB. When I did the level 2 version, I used a Caracal with an omnitank and an AB. ------------

try 3 large shield extenders and shield power relays/power diagnostic units with an after burner and an invuln
i have also heard that a smaller faster frigate with an afterburner and a small rep/booster can make it through, but haven't tried it myself.

What happens is there are four (I think) waves of increasing damage. The first three are tame, starting at 400 damage and increasing by 80-100 each wave. The fourth wave is massive, not sure how much but possibly around 4k. The waves do all types of damage so you'll want to set your resists accordingly.
Or you can do what I did earlier today, and run through it in a Drake with two LSEs. ___ Victory smiles upon those who anticipate the changes in the character of war, not upon those who wait to adapt themselves after they occur. ~Guilio Douhet |

I'm pretty sure you can do the last part in your pod as it doesn't hurt it. _ EVE RELATED CONTENT |

No you can't do it in a pod. It can't get through the gate.

Just tank up with the best stuff you got, put A/B on and head for the acceleration gate. I've run it with an Arby and a Rupture.
On the first two, don't even fire a shot, just get to the gate.
Maybe its time to look at armor tanking modules....

What makes me really wonder is why ppl insist on using shuttles in the first two recon parts. Aren't you running missions for making some isk? In the L4 part for example the bounty available is around 10mil isk, which isnt too bad for <20 mins work.
Still puzzled, Merc
