The ships he's done are just so beautiful, I don't think I could treat it properly. It makes me want to cry just imagining if something bad happened to it. I think I'd be better off with little metal models.

I knew someone that did work like this, which is just top notch. I think they use a wood burning tool (looks like a soldering iron) and sometimes a small gas powered pencil torch.
Oh, and a lot of patience. You don't do this in a day.. takes many weeks to months. Nice work.
