SOLUTION for hisec ganks - TESTED, WORKING!

I though i will share it with community as it is very important. Here it goes: 1. Pack everything into giant secured can 2. Put gsc on courier contract for an alt or friend 3. Pick up the contract and move your new shiny package to your destination completely safely! What will happen now? You have courier package with gsc inside with items inside gsc. Now when someone scans you down, he will only see gsc, nothing else. All you valuable items are invisible on scan.

When you are scanned scan reaches only 'one level' into your cargo hold means scanner will see gsc only. Nothing else. Check it by yourself. additionally scan will not reveal courier package.

If everyone carried them around it would be better because it will be harder for them to guess who's got something valuable but then it just comes down to them thinking well its worth the risk.

Even seen empty haulers sometimes attacked.

Well Tri is at war atm and there's at least 2 of us around Empire still doing it - and I do it with only haulers on overview so.... not a coward, just stupid XD this wont affect suicide ganking. The kind of person who is so lazy that they transport 300m of stuff in a Badger I and then AFK it through 20 jumps of empire, are too lazy to set up a contract and get it all sorted out. They are too lazy to do anything. Half the time they're too lazy to bother to fit a tank, even a passive one. They are just too damned lazy. And they make me money. Either that, or they're stupid. The last time I tried to set up a courier contract with a GSC full of crap, when the thing was wrapped up the items were all removed from the GSC, thus making a package with a GSC and a bunch of other crap. I'm going to have to test this again and see if I am just remembering things wrong, as I am not 100% on this. But off the top of my head, I do not believe that the trick described by the OP actually works as indicated.

Pretty sure warp to zero and using a scout explicitly require rather than merely 'imply' that you shouldn't haul AFK. You'd have to macro to WTZ AFK, and I'm yet to work out how you scout AFK.

It's the harsh reality that even with WTZ you still have to fit your haulers etc for speedy warps, and minimise the value of the cargo, I've seen ganks for 20mil, because the ganker only loses a little on such soft targets.

The key is the 2-3 second aligntime, so nobody can lock you before you go in warp.

It does not make you immune top jihading players, but they will be forced to gamble on wither or not sacrificing their ship is worth it or not. They have no way of telling what is even in the cans, and they have no way of telling if there is anything in them in the first place. If you have several cans, it may be more likely that you will be jihaded because they may presume if you do have something, it's probably a lot of stuff (which could be worth a lot) - so it could be worth it. Not always, but your more likely to see someone jihad you if you have more then one GSC. The most simple solution against jihad's are to just be careful and not AFK all the time. Transports are also good, they are not that easy to pop before they get concordokken. At best I think its 20 seconds response time in 0.5 space. I tested on Sisi and thats what I found - unless it varies from place to place. Theres no way a single Jihad pilot is going to kill a tanked out transport in that timeframe in a cheap ship. They would need a really high DPS (and expensive) ship to kill a transport in that time frame - which is not worth losing over a gamble with a transport with GSC's. Not everyone uses Caldari Transports, but they are my favorites for auto-piloting in since they shield tank - they don't need to sacrifice their lows. The Bustard for example full cargo fit with t1 rigs can hold 30,635m3. A Occator fitted this way can hold 35,509m3, and a Impel could hold 36,219m3. The thing is that the Bustard at best has almost 1k more shield HP then the Occator, and almost 1500 more shield HP then the Impel - that means more effective hitpoints, which means more time. The Bustard also has 3 mid slots that can be used in whatever way you want to tank. The Occator and Impel are designed to armor tank - so you would have to drop 3 expanders on them to match the tank of the Bustard, and that would put their cargo below the Bustard. If you decided to shield tank with them, good luck because they only have 1-2 mid slots. The Mastodon is also good - it auto-pilots faster than the Bustard, however it has a few hundred less shield HP and holds just a bit less. You can get the resistances up more easily though, so that compensates for less HP.

That way only way they could suicide gank is if they spent alot of isk doing that. Or alternativly make it so in high sec people killed due to suicide ganking wont drop cans. Eitherway this hardly seems like a fair game mechanic at the moment and it increases lag in market hubs. The idea that moving through 0.0 is far safer then going into jita is crazy, at least in 0.0 you can treat a gatecamp as hostile and clear it out but in jita there is no way to do it except in small peices since using a transport ship is still risky nowadays. That way its not concord killing people its sentrys which are faction based. Obviously .4 downwards damage should remain the same.
