Obviously the faster you go the better with a nano-ship, but what's the normal range of speeds you get with nano setups? I've heard anywhere from 3k-10k. Personally I get about 5k with my raptor, and about 2.5k with my cerb which seems awfully slow for a nano-HAC.

Normal? 4km/s - 7km/s
An Ishtar would be towards the slow spectrum assuming normal polys etc. A well fitted nano (or vaga) might be pushing 6km/s - 7km/s with gang bonuses and some cheap implants.

Normal is 3.xk-7k roughly I'd say. Nano cerb isn't the fastest nano hac. |

Yep. Cerbs (and most caldari ships) are rather slow when it comes to the nano game, but it is possible. 2x Polycarbs, and some semi-decent navigation skills will put you over 3k. Snakes will get you higher, but do you really want to be flying around in a Cerb with snakes in...? Probably not.

Caldari ships just can't do it. Low base speed, and low numbers of lowslots.
Cerb's _marginally_ viable, if you really try hard, but you need an excessively pimped fit. It's actually possibly worth it, because you have trackingless DPS, but the ishtar does it much much better. |

Edited by: Hannobaal on 22/04/2008 21:09:50 The Vagabond can reach 5.8 km/s with just a simple tech 2 speed fit (without rigs, faction gear, gang bonuses, implants, overloading, etc. ... ) if it uses all of its low slots for speed and the pilot has both navigation and acceleration control trained to 5.
It's tech 1 version, the Stabber, would do 4.5 km/s.
Most (if not all) other fast cruiser sized ships wouldn't get over 4 km/s (or even 3 in many cases) with just that. You need to add on polycarbon engine housings, faction gear, implants, gang bonuses and so on to go really fast.
A Cerberus with polycarbs and tech 2 speed mods will go at 3.2 km/s though.
