To the OP,
Google 'Australian Master Securities Lending Agreement' and learn, baby, learn.
Sign one of these babies and whats yours isnt yours any more.
Certain of the ripped off parties have even hired mercs (in the person of Mick Gatto ... who some of you may recall did a standings reset on Benji Veniamin in the generally NRDS back room of La Porchella on 23 March 2004) to try and get their money back.
Remember, if the deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. Get external advice which you pay for. And dont get into any deal where you dont understand the underlying business.
Finally, you got ripped off in a bad deal. Figure out what you did wrong, and don't do it again.

i've been wondering since the day i began with eve... how can you scam people?
I mean, if you go to the market you see what you buy, if you look at contracts, you know what you get...
Do the scammers just come up with a fancy story like give me 10M ISK and i will make it 20 or something like this? i mean... i don't really know how people can get scammed

how do you get scammed in real life? same way in eve for the most part, except the scammers who exploit glitches or bugs, or the good old 1bil shuttles. |

No i never even owned 1b, let alone 3. Losing that much to a scam would be unheard of. What kind of scam was it to lift you of that much cash before you smelled a rat or at least had doubts about the reliability of the trade mechanism used?

Scammers don't usually go to jail in real life. Most of them get away with the money. Please try to atleast get the facts right before comparing a game with RL.
Oh, and in game you can blow up the guy who scammed you with a cruise missile. Try that IRL..... |
