Can you please specify what is wrong with it and why you wouldn't want your ship to autowarp away?
The only reason I can see for not wanting your ship to warp away if to be able to login-trap someone...

when mining you warp else where and leave your drones, and on your return you have to fly to each drone to activate. thats the main reason really.

Ah, I didn't think of that. Accept my apologies, I'm not really used to mining procedures ;)
Still, I think that's a small price to pay for a feature which may save your uninsured BS when you crash at that belt. Plus it helps prevent a previously used exploit...

i kinda see your point nightfang. thats why i would like the option to switch it on or off. that way it's the users fault if he loses hs ship

They could check if you are in a belt and have drones deployed, and only if both is the case not warp you away. I really don't want log-traps to come back.
Anyway, unless CCP changes it, the best thing you can do is to try not to crash while you are in a belt with your harvies deployed

And what are you going to say when you didn't warp away on a ctd, and a good spawn of npc killed your ship while you were logging back in?
Warping away is fine to avoid logon traps and get npc smacked in a belt. autowarping back to the belt can be dangerous, so just stop your ship before it kicks in...

The best solution would be to auto-retrieve the drones deployed before auto-warping.
Otherwise, in the no auto-warp when drones are deployed, people could deploy drones to stop themselves from auto-warping away.
