wow 10 alliances in the failtrain and growing...
this reminds of the original coalition to remove bob, except at the start of that "epic" war, bob had almost the same amount of alliances on their side as the coalition started with.
how much more do you intend to cram into this little region?
personally i hope bob forget MC, and go smash up goonswarm regions while they are away.

Why on earth would TRI be bitter?
They're not the ones who have lost a Titan, 600 BS, 25 capitals, and about 20 large pos fighting over one dysprosium moon.

Originally by: Academy CEO Its an interesting thought.
However, TriSurge can field something like a 200 man capital fleet and Tri have Sov 4 systems. They're not going anywhere, and Goons involvement won't change anything - the Northern Coaltion have already shown that numbers cannot win.
The NC do ok in Euro time, its just the US that they can not feild enough, your right about the numbers, but it will free up more to play in TRI's home, few moon mining POs's here, some cyno jammers there ect.
Originally by: Academy CEO
The northern coalition, with massive numbers advantage, struggled against INSRG alone before TRI got involved, and had to resort to pos spam to get anywhere. Which failed as I believe TriSurge have blown up most of RZR's pos now.
Again, agaisnt insurg NC seemed to be going ok, taking station systems working around the cyno jammers. They only Insurg started to remove the towers was with Tri when there massive cap fleet got involved.
Originally by: Academy CEO
At the end of the day you can only fit so many people in one system, so extra numbers for the northern coaltion won't help them.
I agree, but any extra cap / US TZ players would be helpful to the NC and as above allow some forces to play in TRI's home. But yeh, extra base players wouldnt seem to be much use against the INSURG/TRI cap fleet (few days ago it was reported a fleet of 20 MS's)
Originally by: Academy CEO
I'm sure BoB will watch with interest though, we all know which side they support and BoB/TriSurge will be frankly unbeatable by anyone. Even the entire rest of eve combined.
Am all for Insurg but I dont think they would make much of a diffrence, there skill is being a large alliance and a large cap fleet. Of the union you speak it would be BoB/TRI which would be the killer. Insurg would be top bob like goonfleet was to RA.
Just my personal opinion

I largely agree with your assessment. This would be the only point of contention in my eyes - the NC didn't make any progress against cynojammed systems.
They took the non-cynojammed systems through POS spam but to be honest thats very much the easy part. I honestly didn't believe they would be able to kick INSRG from QCWA (which is cynojammed). And even without TRI's involvement I would still believe that.

who cares about the failolition. But TRI whining about numbers is really funny cause they wanted this war. And srly when I have a member in my alliance that fit his carrier with a shild tank, armor tank and honour tank, I will podkill him until he delete his char. No wonder most PVP corps left TRI. |

Yeh, they failed against the cyno system. Tbh I think any alliance would have failed against the defence Insurg set up. If you look at QY6 and most other cyno takedowns. It can only be done when the defenders are asleep. Otherwise get a 200man fleet 100 man cap fleet (which as an alliance of 2000+ shouldnt be too hard) top protect it, unless theres a node crash you havent really got a chance in hell.
It would have been only a matter of time until the NC cought insurg off guard. As with any POS JAMMER war, its how it works.Wait untill the enemy is offguard /weird arse time of the day (NC would have a bonus at this /more numbers = more chance of a large group being on at an odd time).
But NC messed up, got carried away with POS spamming and then lost a titan/moral, insurge got a boost from the titan kill + TRI cap fleet will make the catching while asleep alot harder.
Again, this is really just my personal opinion in a jammer war. suppose its all retrospect

I don't know how GS fights or what their exact relationship is with RA, never really fought them, but Insurgency are very good fighters. They're dedicated, competent and organised. Tri respects them and we enjoy working with them.
Same for ATF and Destiny, of course (but the poster was speaking of Insurg, not ATF and Destiny).
We don't consider them "lol allies" or a "meat shield", which is what GS has been compared to on these forums, with RA.

yeh in no way am I attacking insurg or Tri. I believe the relation ship between RA / Goons was really (this will be WAY TO simplistic but...) RA had the very large and well managed cap fleet but lacked a large ground fleet, which is where goons came in (donĘt believe anything about the relationship on COAD, they were very close friends). I believe in the same way TRI are like RA, good at Nano gangs and large skilled cap fleets but lacking in support if they deployed there full cap fleeting against a large enemy. Insurg have a large conventional ground force. Meatsheild is a troll phrase, end of the day caps cant live without support so RA/GOON, TRI/INSURG.
Its not an insult at all, itĘs a praise

P.S. If we help MM we are pretty ghey. since they bailed on us, half the goons know MM tries to spin it to make it look like they came back because of insurgency, but we know thats a lie. Ill never help them, they bailed on us.

Stop the spin already. This is not about one moon. This is about insurgency growing too big for you to control. Still remember the days where you woved never to touch alliance politics :D
But what can you expect with the quality and amount of corps you've welcomed into insurgency? You're just a figurehead now, controlled by pro-bob (or bob alts) and cheered by your old nemesis, bob.

Are you being even remotely serious? You're a complete joke at the moment, half of your own alliances believe this and its no spin.
You are the one who escalated this conflict, in an attempt to steamroll one alliance with your ridiculous uberblob. You failed.
You lied to your own allies about the reasons for war. Hell, you even lied to your own alliance members. You know, as well as I do, that INSRG had no plans to take BKG or Tenal and were happily developing their hard won space.
How are your allies counting their losses, all for a war you started for entirely selfish reasons? Half of them don't even know why they are fighting INSRG. Do you honestly believe people like Hydra and Pure have the stomach for a war of attrition over your dysprosium moon? Get a grip. This war has cost your allies a lot already. Its going to cost them a lot more, if they have the will to see it through, which frankly I doubt.

Go spin on that.
Are you even playing the same game as the rest of us?
First, and to correct your **** poor attempt of a post before.
NC took down 2 cynojammers with BS's vs Carriers/deathstar POS, get your facts straight. Insurgency never, let me repeat NEVER went on the offensive since the war began. Thats right i could go afk in BKG in an ibis for 10hours and nothing would happen to me.
16 hours of the day, NC completely dominated all of insurgency space. Our days were spent ****ing away station services including QCWA.
Insurgency LOST D4R and EQI stations. They gained jack s**t.
Insurgency was losing caps everyday, several times a day, and with no space to recoup those loses, the carriers showing to defend cynojammers kept getting smaller and smaller.
The only time insurgency had some control, was 4 to 6 hours of the day during late UZ primetime, and that time was always spent... repping station services or saving some POS. Never to go on offensive.
So please, come back to reality if you think NC wasnt completely obliterating insurgency before tri came in.
And now in comes tri, things are different, and we actually have had hostiles in BKG siegeing. So yes, now its a real war, not a steamroll. So far its pretty much back and forward because as we all know taking out cynojammers with BS fleets when the other guy has a zillion carriers isnt easy.
And btw, if goons come north, and i dont know if they will, it makes perfect sense. With the north pacified and the south secured theres nothing stopping everyone to look east and go say hi to the real problem. BOB.
And one last reality check.
Insurgency was growing and hungry for space. Only if you dont keep up with their sov claims can you not see that. Removing them was essential for all of the coalition. And lets not forget, Triumvirate was the one declaring war on the NC, not the otherway around. The reason why triumvirate did this? Any insight on that one?
