25.4.2004 The 10k barrier broken
This evening at 20:10, 10.396 played EVE Online at the same time. This is the fifteenth time this year that EVE Online breaks what is probably a world record for highest number of players together, at the same time, in the same persistent 3D world.
24.4.2004 Hardware Upgrade Complete
We have now completed the first phase of our hardware upgrades and we have started the cluster at 01:00 GMT. The second phase will involve doubling the number of servers along with a complete over haul of our SQL Server cluster.
11.4.2004 The 9k barrier broken
This evening at 20:45, 9.144 played EVE Online at the same time. This is the thirteenth time this year that EVE Online breaks what is probably a world record for highest number of players together, at the same time, in the same persistent 3D world.
21.3.2004 The 8k barrier broken
This evening at 21:04, 8.867 played EVE Online at the same time. This is the twelfth consecutive Sunday that EVE Online breaks what is probably a world record for highest number of players together, at the same time, in the same persistent 3D world.
I alway thought it was 12, 13, 14, 15 Everybody enjoy the game and keep it up, EVE rules bigtime!

Well, technically, 14th time was when 9500 people played online. :) --------------

They didn't post a message about the 14th time the records were broken as people were suffering horrendous lag at the time and the servers were all over the place.
Don't think such a message would have generated anything except complaints about how there were X people online but they were all stuck/lagged out.

Heh, seems Strigoi needs to find something else to do all that free time. Spelling corrections welcome, but don't expect me to edit my post. |
