Its just a constructive idea but would it not be possible to meet in the middle by lagging the log servers so people can still acces for bug info etc and if you are desperate to use bacon u have to wait 5-10 mins before you are notified of some one entering system.
please dont flame me just thought it could be a good idea.

CCP will probably be doing exactly that, actually. They'll store the logserver information in an internal cache for a certain amount of time and only output it to a file every couple of minutes. After all, for reproducing a bug you don't need the information instantly, so it wouldn't impact its intended use.

exactly would come to fair comprimise, just put the public version on a shadow server to refresh every 10 mins or what ever CCP deem suitable.

well, if you put a 10 min lag on it, bacon will be rendered useless. I'm not saying I support bacon, I'm just saying this isn't a compromise.

Sure its a compromise BACON gets nerfed and the carebears dont get banned. 
Now please CCP as a request dont make a anoucement that the delay on the log server is getting implemented because i want to taste all the carebear tears as they whine that bacon didnt save them.
