Edited by: Leona Santra on 29/04/2008 00:02:15 You'll first have to get your standing to the corporation upto the level needed as per the formula/table http://www.eve-wiki.net/index.php?title=Guide:Agents#Access_to_Agents
After that, you'll have to actually find a level 2 agent from that corporation to get missions off. Best way to do that is to pull up the corp info tab for the NPC corp and check for the "Available to you" agents under the "Agent" tab.
Edit: Oh and if you haven't, you should read http://jhez.dk/eve/dgaf/agents.html and its parent page http://jhez.dk/eve/dgaf/index.html
:) Good luck. Nothing wrong with reading up on guides, considering Eve has a learning curve of el capitan.

Dividing your time between two corps when you only have access to level 1's isn't the way to go. Stick with whichever corp offers better LP store items and work your way up in that one. Minmatar and Gallente missions positively affect each others standings so you don't have to worry about dropping in standing with Gallente while flying Minmatar missions or vice versa.
Switch corps once you've worked up to level 3's or so, if you want. Level 4 missions are usually way better than 3's in terms of ISK and LPs gained though, so ideally you'll want to work someone up to 4.

The missions can get a bit repetitive, sure. There's only a limited pool to have chosen from. Gotta say, it's a lot bigger pool than it used to be, though.

For starters, pick an NPC corporation you like. Do a little investigation into the LP rewards. Maybe even consider the non-mainstream factions, such as Thukker, Sansha, etc. (Though understanding how the mainstram ones work first would be recommended)
Train up the skill "Connections". Just plain Connections, not the Militarty/Political/Whatever versions of it. This will give you a big boost on your Standings.
Decided on who you want to run missions for? ShowInfo your current agent. Click on his Corporation tab. Then click the Agents tab. This will show you all agents in that corporation, and what standing you need to use each one. If you've trained Connections up a few levels, you ought to easily have access to the listed Level 2 agents already.
When you get the knack of working up single agents/corps, you ought to be able to juggle working multiple agents/corps.
Make sure your ship skills keep pace with your agent/corp standings, btw. There is a small jump in difficulty from L1 to L2 missions. The jump from L2 to L3 is noticeable. The jump from L3 to L4 is quite large.
As a side note, T.R.I.A.D offers an alternative to "gonna scream!!!" missions. Just sayin'.

Train connections to 3 then:
1) Open Character Sheet. 2) Open standings. 3) Scroll down to corporations, click the top one. If corporations is just about empty you can also follow the same procedure for the top faction and pick a good sounding corp within it (if you want kill missions you should be able to find one that sounds as though it gets involved in combat). 4) Click the agents tab. 5) Expand the list, and it will show which agents are available to you.

Don't forget to use the Star Map to see what agents are available to you. When mousing over a system, it will show what agents are available to you. In my case 95% of my agents are LVL1, but after looking around the star map I found some LVL2 agents, but they were Q-17 agents!

In my limited expeieance it seems that the lower the quality ofthe agent the lower the standing requirement is. E.g., a Level 2 -18 agent would have min. standing below 2; while a Level 2 18 agent would have a min. standing above 2. This had me puzzeled for a long time as I was running missions in a station with a Level 1 Q14 agent, and a Level 2 Q20 agent I couldn't figure out why the Level 2 Q20 agent was not available to me once my standing reached 2.

Yeah, I think the standings requirements are something like 2.0 per agent level with a base of 0 for a L1 Q0 agent, plus or minus 0.1 per level of agent quality. Or something like that, in any event you should see a pretty much seamless transition between accessing top-quality agents of one level and bottom-quality agents of the next.
