Hey all,
Was curious if there is any defense against an active Webifier. I know that you can easily stay out of range if your ship is nice and fast, but it seems like you would be doomed if you get Webbed and scrambled.
Anyone? Or would staying out of range be the best plan?

Best case: he hasa log grade web (really cheap faction one, unnamed t1), that does not do 90%... in such a case, the 500-600% boost gained by a MWD will bring you back up to your origonal speed, letting you get out of web range. However, I have found that in my closerange combat intie, overloading the MWD will give you enough speed to gtfo, usually with some hull left (1.5*600% is a lot... enough to get out of 90% webs most of the time)
Granted, there is no anti-web module like you request, the MWD just helps.
Staying out of range is easyer.

Well there is another way but the rest of the comments in here are correct. the other way is to have a ewar ship that can break the lock of the webber or target jam the webber. but thats for team play and not solo pvp.

in the light of this thread a lowslot module with a bit of web nerfing would be a cool addition. People would have to give up speed in the first place to keep a bit more when webbed.

I didnt comment on the strenght. I said something that reduced a webs efficiency.
Say you do 5k\s normally, say it reduces web efficency by 15%, fitting the module in the first place over something that adds speed, 400-500m\s. Speed while webbed, 1100 m\s as opposed to 500 m\s before?

Even better, a module that negates web, but prevents you from using a mwd? Support the introduction of well thought out Amarr solutions!

If you like trying to get rid of annoying 6km/s interceptors, you'll love snaked 6km/s, 25 sig radius, web-immune afterburning interceptors!

If your ship is faster and also has a web, you can web back and burn away until you're out of range.
You can also try jammers, ecm burst, ecm drones to break a lock.
Or just hope you can tank and gank well enough to kill the other guy before he kills you.
There really is no anti-web module. ----------------------------------- You're not a pirate unless your -10 |
